Beautiful explanation sir, actually this helped me to understand why someone once used to say , " chanda ry chanda ry kabi to Zameen pe aa bethein gy baatein karein gy" so not only science but some poets were also interested to talk about far side of moon...and of course it is great great initiative by Pakistani students to open a gate way for coming students to have proper glimpse and grispe to compete and learn about a totally new horizon of science and technology... Sir your programme is very informative. I like it very much. Here is a question sir if you like to answer. What was the reason for the increase in the distance of the moon from the earth and secondly why is it not increasing now?

Great question. It is because of conservation of angular momentum. The Moon's gravity causes a drag on Earth and slows down its rotation (our day used to be only 5 hours long!!). This is compensated by the Moon speeding up a bit and moving slightly away. And it is still moving away about 4 cm every year. We know this so accurately because the Apollo astronauts left instruments there to calculate the distance very very accurately. Hope this helps.

What is the difference between far side and south pole of the moon. You have said before that chandrayyan 3 is first one which landed on south pole. In this video you are saying that this mission is first one which landed on far side of the moon.

South pole is right to the south - whereas farside is just the side we don't see - but that has equator, poles etc.

It is very expensive. And the Apollo program was a result of the cold war competition between the US and the Soviet Union. That led to huge funding for the Moon mission.
