Raise here, moved to San Diego and L.A. for 23 years came back to Clarksville and this is truly wonderful country! So glad to have peace and quiet again. L.A. is a turd! I’ve found a place where I can live and die in happiness. I thank the lord for creating this wonderful and beautiful place that you can still afford! Alski

I am probably late to this video, but I have lived here 24 years and Clarksville has definitely changed a lot. We doubled our population since then so it is interesting to see all the places that were once nearly barren in my childhood now become really dense in population. Glad to see someone else's perspective on my hometown.

Man I miss Clarksville, was there when tiny town was one lane each direction and nothing but farmland. Watched this city grow but left sophomore year of highschool (west creek) and the only things I really miss are Black Horse, Johnny's and Yamatos. Made great memories there but moved out to Charlotte NC and things changed, the motivation increased and my outlook on life changed drastically!

I lived in Clarksville for a large majority of my life between the years 1996ish and 2011. I still have family out there and it's constantly changing. But I've been happily living in Chicago for about ten years now. I always miss Clarksville but any time I visit, I quickly get bored and remember why I left. It's not for everyone but there's definitely something charming about it.

I dont think you can judge a whole town or city to be one thing. Its lovely here, I fell in love when I visited. Everyone here seems level headed. I moved to Clarksville 1 month ago from Nashville, TN. If you are like him and need to be motivated by Lambos, interesting shots, and etc.. then Clarksville is not the spot. If you want open field, peace and quiet, everyone staying in their lane and something relaxed.. then its the spot for you. Also tons houses that are huge for decent prices. I’m enjoying it, have a ton of family in Nashville so travel is less than a hour for that. But yeah depends on your style/fit.

Well, how I see it is you can eat your cake and have it too. With lower cost of living, lower housing price come with less developed urban (if you can call it that), lower income and just in general less happening. Grow up in China and lived there for 16 years I’ve never really been a fan of the city and being crowded. I don’t mind the idea of visiting cities which I often do (I work as a field service engineer/validation engineer and travel often). But during my off/down time I like to keep it to myself and not deal with neighbors if I don’t want to. Figure out something you are passionate about that you can do with other people or just by yourself. I like my guns, photography, cooking and taking care my 5 acres of grass. I chose to move to Tennessee and Clarksville because I wasn’t a fan of Massachusetts. Moving is always an option.

Some people want a simple life. Just bc someone doesn’t see your hustle doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. I know plenty of country folks with sustainable lives and bank accounts 95% of the nation would envy. Some see a nice car, probably 100k, but don’t notice a piece of equipment that cost a mill, brings someone joy and income. All in what you want out of life. My friend, You just don’t know where to look! True we are no Yellow Stone, but we have activities for all ages, if you stay out in the country true there is not much to do. However; if you come to the center of Clarksville you will find a Austin pea, shopping a mall with upper class clothing, home products from furniture to glassware. We have several movie theaters, there is the cityForum a kids & adult indoor playground. We have multiple Strip Malls. We are rich in history, and I am very proud to say we have 101 First Airborne here protecting us! They are not only on the base, they live amongst us and go to our churches. I don’t know what railroad line you were on but we don’t have rail service, about once a week! Murders 2 to3 per year. Our crime rate is low, I don’t know where you come from but we like Clarksville!
