Yeah the original was given to Chloe, but he made a complete perfect replica. Also I'm pretty sure he also fixed the original which probably also caught Diablos attention.

@@WisdomKingAnime You are correct. He did fix the original. I guess it was forgotten that Ifrit cracked the mask when Shizu lost control and Rimuru fixed it sometime after using Predator on Shizu. Though Diablo became infatuated with Rimuru before he discovered that Rimuru could fix the mask as he found Rimuru to be interesting while watching the fight against ifrit and while continuing to watch Rimuru, he started to believe the slime could show him the "Truth" of the world.
