Idk how it is in India but I've studied engineering in the UK and got a decent pay job for the last 2.5 years. I'd say if you're in it for the money engineering probably isn't worth it because there's better paying degrees with less difficulty. These people don't know the scam of average placement calculation: For example if 3 student got placement , 40 lks , 4 lkh, 4 lakh There avg placement will be :- 48lkh/3. That will be equal to 16 lakh average package 😅 Also average package is calculate only for placed students, and not the unplaced one, for example if in batch of 100 u have 30 student placed , and rest 60 unplaced , you will get data of avg placement w.r.t. that 30 students only not the rest 60 . So median package data and percentage of student placed to actual total no of student can give to correct idea.
