Personally I still enjoy the game either way and my friend who sometimes plays with me enjoys the slower nature of the game currently as it was too fast paced for him in the beta other than we would need more game modes and more game changing events not just skins I enjoy where it is at although I do agree the UI on the beta was sooooo much better

@@Mightyraythey sort of have in a way if you’re a huge competitive player. I have over 900 wins with Beetlejuice since he dropped and lemme just say he fucking sucks. This game is trash bc you’re basically forced to pick an S tier to have a lot of fun. Low tiers are NOT FUN in this game especially matched up against an S tier. Maybe it’s just bc Beetle clearly need a buff but my whole ranked experience has been tainted over this weekend bc the weaknesses of the characters shined harder than ever. Every character I pick is mutually agreed upon to be on the weaker side of the spectrum and I’m fucking sick of the struggle comes with that. Bugs, Harley, Black Adam, Batman, Joekr, Morty, are deadass some of the most annoying fighters I ever played against up in Diamond/Master rank and honestly I don’t wanna give this shit anymore time

The reason people are dropping it is simply because its the fighting genre. I love fighting games but they aren't made to be live service as only the hardcore fans still play after the first few months. It would've been much smarter for them to charge for it as a full game and release paid DLC characters. I know everyone's gonna disagree I mean I love the fact that it's free but its just the facts that it won't survive super long as live service

You have clear examples in both cases: Brawlhalla, a fighting game in the same genre as Multiversus, and despite being a live service, it's in quite good shape. On the other hand, we have the recent Nickelodeon All Stars Brawl 2, which, well... we all know how it ended up in the end....

The point is that regardless of whether Multiversus started as a complete game or a live service game, if it had done things right from the beginning and hadn’t exploited the consumer so much, I’m convinced that the game would be in much better shape right now, possibly even similar to or on par with Brawlhalla.

Even so, I think the game can last much longer than most people think if they know how to play their cards right. They still have many hugely popular franchises like Harry Potter or The Lord of the Rings, not to mention super popular characters or general icons like Daffy Duck, Scooby-Doo, Ben 10, among others. Surely the moment they release a character from these, it would catch the attention of a lot of people, even those outside the game. By doing this over time, I believe it could keep people hooked for quite a while, in my opinion.

If you honestly think the Beta was better, you're lying to yourself. The re-release is 10x better and yes, they did take away a few features !!At launch!!. But now? We have the features from the beta that we were asking for. The beta speed was also not good at all. Seeings 4 small running rats across the screen was not sustainable. Not to mention that getting fighters has been much easier with all the events. Anyways, We need Daffy duck with the upcoming looney tunes movie

I dropped it because when they brought it back, the game didn't run nearly as well for me as the beta. Seeing how much you had to grind to unlock new characters killed my interest in coming back later.

@@Mightyray The answer is to ask people who stopped playing the game. The problem with "dead games" is only the small minority of diehard fans stick around to discuss them. So you get an ever smaller and more insular echochamber, which the devs are part of too sadly. It becomes very rare to find soneone like you or me who admits there could be something fundamentally wrong.

For views and clicks. One thing I notice about these people who make “I’m quitting mvs” only get a lot of views when the video has mvs attached to it. Check their page with other content and the views on those vids low asf compared to the mvs ones. Just my observation.

Its not just that it's the entire game it's not fun having to camp and play passive in bad matchups or lose a ditto cause bad hitboxes and getting spammed out it's fundamentally flawed . It's a shame too cause it had so much potential servers are bad it's just to many issues to not complain at least once for the competitive side and casual side so it's not just for views and clicks half the mvs community doesn't even care about views and clicks if they did they'd switch to a different community it's this game needs changes . Monetization. Bad. Rifts. Boring and bad. Gameplay ? Decent when working but very little skill expression . Its just not very fun .

Deadass it's the gameplay. The casuals will keep saying it's there just needs to be nerfs and buffs, when at it's core the gameplay is exactly why it's failing. Mind you, they definitely got certain stuff we asked for in beta, in the launch. The biggest issue though, was reworking the gameplay entirely. Appealing to the casuals who couldn't react well, so we got a slower game, they believe themselves to be skilled at.

The diagnosis here is way off. The roster is one of Multiversus biggest strengths, it's the reason it was the most played fighting games of all time when beta dropped. People bounced off of it because the gameplay is shallow and not well thought out. Full release didn't fix that, and so people didn't come back. And they'll never come back unless it turns the game around significantly.

The game is great content wise, the characters with their moves and voice lines have a lot of personality, but the gameplay killed it for me. I agree that the beta was not new-player friendly, but the game is too slow and floaty, it is too boring for competitive play and to watch. I'm just looking forward for rivals of aether 2, I was looking at some beta tournament matches and it looks really fun

Thier is currently 1567 players and all characters together is worth 210 dollars I'd rather spend 100 dollars upfront then have to grind fir every single character for 1 whole year 10 weeks no sleep no break so yeah gremlins I know basically I don't know why people defend this thiers literally no way this game going to succede to grindy for the casual audience and not realsing the hype characters for the die hard audience of 1546 people on steam so far add the other platforms and it might reach a bit more but over all multiverses fails because it's not casual enough or not competitive enough oh and not enough reconguzbke characters thiers still some people who care about the midyear realsed who will pick up the game because thier added but casuals who only play the game when a hype charater is added spend zero dollars grind or try to grind then quit so unironicaly this is just as if not more unsustainable and cost more cause of the server space to hold a minority who spend monst and a casual audience that probably don't or do I don't know all I know this game is ending early should of made multiverses a non live service smash bros and had a 100 dollar price tag up front with the excuses all these other characters are free updates well using all thier heavy hitters to start and adding all the mid weight characters with and every update add more characters everybody would have fun and the game would make more money instead of losing money and it will eventually be rendered unplayable so I'm personally like who is this game for
