Canada is an amazing country, if you are doing well here. Some people may not have a good experience and that’s a total different story. Overall there is no comparison between the two when you look at the big picture. I have lived & seen both places and have met many people who have moved from dubai to canada and are very happy. Dubai is just like a 5 star hotel, you just check in, have some good time and leave - it’s not home.

@@GLOVENT My friend - I don’t need to visit Canada bec I live in Canada. And Dubai is also a Great place for people like me on my Canadian Passport for visiting or working. But the reality is Dubai is just a Temporary place even if you live there for decades. We all use Dubai to make some tax free money & leave when the right time comes & for this gentleman that could be when his kids are ready for university. More people move from Dubai to Canada than Canada to Dubai - just a fact. No need to get defensive.
@maamir410 ай бұрын
@@GLOVENT 💯% - I would do the same if I was in this gentleman’s situation. You take Canadian citizenship and then take the best opportunity, either that be in Canada, Dubai or Qatar. Yes Life has got tougher in the whole western world including Canada But now Dubai is on the same path & housing/rents are through the roof & cost of living very high. At the end of the day, each situation is unique but as a country I have no regrets for moving to Canada as I have done well here.

It all depends on Qismat…. Same happens with alot of people who come to Dubai to find work (THEY DONT EASILY FIND RELEVANT/EXPECTED JOB). I know many people who did find the Job and doing good in Canada. At least, people are not kicked out of country if you lose your Job! Like Dubai There are + and - of each country, it all depends on individual circumstances

Not everyone is moving from Canada to Dubai, lots are moving from Dubai to other countries, reason mostly it is too hot and people stay indoors, very expensive, no nationality, and its true racial discrimination, lots of benefits for local but not same for immigrants, yes there is no tax but they make you spend money, rents are now very high, education very expensive, no good unis, remote working not allowed and a long list

Hi, i have been in Canada since i was a young boy, am a Citizen ofcourse. I and wife (both Citizens) have been thinking fo moving to dubai. We own a house and all. thinking of selling everything and moving to dubai. we do not have kids and have no plans to have kids (personal choice). I have been working for multi national firms as an IT professional, Azure system admin here in Canada. my wife has her own Hair salon for ladies. we are seriously considering wrapping up and leaving. we are tired of high taxes and culture here. I will appreciate any advice or idea's. is Dubai worth it? specially as Canadian citizens? are there oppertunities there? can i open a Ladies hair salon business there? what is better, sharjah, dubai or aby dahbi? My wife is of Labanese decent and speaks fluent arabic as well.

You sole motive to move to UAE is high taxes and cost of living in Canada? What are your plans once you are here in Dubai as it is not cheap living without sustainable source of income too.

When one leaves the luxurious life of Dubai (which is temporary) , for sure Canada would seem like a downgrade. But i guess once one settles in they do get somewhere before they can fulfill citizenship requirements. Then one can move elsewhere with better benefits. Those who cannot sustain tend to come back or what we call reverse immigration.
