When I started playing the game, I mained Lifeline if I wanted to play a supportive role for my team, or Bangalore if I felt like being more aggro. Double time is almost a free Octane stim, and I've always enjoyed her kit. She's fun to use and can be valuable, unfortunately most random Bangalore teammates I play with are pros at blinding our entire team by smoking our building

Her abilities are basically broken. It's kind of surprising no one mained her more. I guess she was just considered a starter legend and people wanted the newer ones. Double time is straight broken because there's no cooldown on it. Smokes and Bombs from her other abilities are just way too controlling(though they did at least nerf her ult timer). Every fight in this game feels the same now. You won't be able to see anything and half the battlefield will be covered in Bang bombs that will stun and blind you if they hit you. Bangalore's passive makes her pretty fun to play, but man is she a cancer on the game. She's the biggest troll in the game, both to team and enemies.

Wouldn't it also be the fact most players are now using controller for Aim assist? and aiming at an enemy though or in smoke completely removes AA? Ive heard plenty people in the top tier ranked games go on about this over and over again. I think now that controllers have such a strong involvement now within the game that she's become a more prominent kind of counter to it.

That's a big part of why it happened, yes. The other factor is that scans were nerfed hard from Seer and BH. Her smokes were useless before because everyone knew where you were anyway.

Bangs whole kit is just so dang good. Her smokes is the reason why i play her so much more than anything. Her ult is so good at buying you time and so many other things. Her passive is so good for getting to areas so much faster without so much risk. Her running animation is dope too 😊

Absolutely. There's honestly no legend in the game I hate more than Bangalore. Whether she's on my team or not. I'm playing an FPS, and I think it'd be nice to actually be able to see things in a game where I'm supposed to shoot at stuff.

@@whoneedbag5264depends on the server, and time you play. A lot more middle aged people play fuse casually so around afternoon time you might see his pick rate spike due to them getting off work to play their favorite bloody legend. 😈 but on a serious note it is only used around lower level play

Yeah, I think she just wasn't picked much before because of all the scan abilities. Smokes didn't matter when you were highlighted in a Seer ult, etc. It's ironic because now that scans were nerfed her smokes are way too strong and terrible for the game. Went from full wall hacks to total blindness with Bang and Catalyst blocking everything. I don't use aim assist, and understand why people want to block it with smokes. As a mouse player, I hate AA as much as everyone else, but I hate being constantly blinded in ever single fight even more.

100% its not because ALGS MAGICALLY discovered she was useful or to counter aimassist. Its because of the death of the scan meta. She has been a legend ever since pros started using controller, but nobody picked her because of scan, the aimassist counter is just one additional benefit to using her smoke. The reason her pickrate went up was because they nerfed the scan legends so much that she became useful. When the scan meta was strong I remember thinking Bangalore was useless because as Bloodhound I can scan through the smoke and kill enemies retreating (without a digi) and most teams also had a bloodhound. Since scans became less useful bang smoke and cat walls have been pretty essential to blocking enemy vision and having the ability to disengage. @@yahootube90​

Hot take: Make Digi for Pistols only, buff for Pistols other than Wingman Make it doesn't work inside the smoke (so you can't smoke people and rush them without a chance for them to fight back unless they also have digi) Have another legend with CC effect (flashbangs / interefence) to reduce the amount of smokes

I get what you are saying, but adding more annoying effects that make it impossible to see is definitely not the path I want them to take. Plus, Catalyst sort of does that already. It's already at the point where you can't ever see anything at all in fights in this game. Having more legends with something like flashbangs would only make it worse.

I think another reason why that isn’t mentioned much is that a while ago (I think this was even by Gaming Merchant) someone posted a video saying & showing how Bangalore smoke removes Aim Assist. Her pick rate of course spiked cause who doesn’t want to gain an advantage? But it still annoys me that legends are being picked based on what someone says on the internet. What happened to “play what you find fun” 😢

I’ve been playing Bangalore and Path Finder since S1. They are both really strong and have been for a long time I believe it’s just the eb and flow of the communities opinion on certain legends that increased the pick rate. Like with pathfinder sometimes I see a lot one day the next day I won’t see a single one. I do believe he needs a rework because the update to the zip line wasn’t enough to give other legends the recon beacon buff. His hit box is massive so sometimes I feel like I’m in the matrix dodging bullets when I switch to Bangalore lol.

Smoking other teams so they can’t see is so good and sometimes using it to try to get a knock on someone that’s so close to getting downed. Like cmon she can do so much lol

I played him for his ability to storm buildings with unlimited grenades and also on long range maps to drive people out of cover.. Often times my team would retardedly storm buildings without grenades of useful abilities so for maps with a lot of buildings I will use Fuse. The range of his grenades is INSANE, you can use him to flush people out of cover from halfway across the map with an unlimited supply of grenades.

On that note, Horizon nerf idea: -Her ultimate doesn’t break doors and pulls you less -Tactical makes you go up 50% slower and you can’t strafe, heal, or shoot in it -passive only works once every 10 seconds She’s broken rn and NEEDS to be nerfed

Catalyst spikes are definitely broken. The way they can go through doors and not be targettable because they are behind a wall is just terrible design. Her ult is fine. Her tactical is fine, I think. It's a bit broken how she can instantly reinforce, but she can only have 2 doors sealed at a time, so that makes it pretty balanced.

I've been a Bangalore/Wraith main since day 1 of apex. Now I understand Wraith got nerfed over the seasons,, she was pretty op, especially back in the earlier seasons with the original hitbox and tactical. Then I started playing more and more Bangalore, and then Valkyrie came out, and I loved her kit, Then Valkyrie gets played by ever team in ALGS (cus of her ultimate mainly) And then respawn makes sure to release her heirloom, sell a ton of heirlooms, and then nerf her to the ground... I swear, they can't change Bangalore she's literally the definition of a balanced legend, and that's what people have been saying about her for the past 4 years, she's good but not OP, she can be good and at the same time super bad for her teammates, she's balanced... ALGS pick rates shouldn't ruin that.

She's absolutely OP in the current environment. TBH, her kit was probably always OP. The scan cancer meta made her smokes useless. But now that the scan stuff has been nerfed so hard, her smokes have become dominant to the point where every single fight is just struggling to see through Bang smokes. This isn't solely a Bangalore problem, because Catalyst and Caustic do similar, but they can't spam it or throw it at everyone the way Bang can. A blindness meta in a shooter game is pretty horrible, though. They already nerfed her ult, so I guess that's not worth mentioning. Her passive has always been S-tier OP. The fact it has no cooldown on it is pretty insane.

At 1st it could have been because thermal optics were broke for a bit and you couldn't see through Bangalore's smoke with them but now it is just because they are mindless puppets that see someone else do good with a character and think "maybe its the character that makes people like shiv so good" so they try to follow suit and end up just becoming a nuisance to their teammates i.e. shooting smoke toward an enemy that you are clearly beaming so you lose L.o.S. or pop smoke and run when you get downed even though you downed 2 out of 3 of the enemy team and cracked the 3rd.

i started playing her for two simple reason shes fast and has smokes both that highly contribute to countering aim assist and in ranked gameplay you need to have every advantage you can as an mnk player to counter roller im a wattson main on worlds edge where i can play ziplines and get away reliably and hold buildings but olympus is unplayable there are no good buildings to bunker only option is to play edge and fight
