Why is everyone talking about how EMP affects diesel performance?

IS THE TURBO THE MAIN REASON FOR THAT VARIANT IN THE EMP

In factory setups the exhaust and dump pipe etc can have a huge factor in the emp (especially when you turn it up) Imo, upgrading the turbo requires larger exhaust and intake system otherwise you could be strangling the shiny new setup
