Sometimes the best PC gaming hardware comes from the least likely places. After listening to suggestions I decided to try out two of the cheapest CPU coolers available and test them at multiple heat loads. And while these might look like the best heatsinks for Ryzen, there's a lot you need to know about them before making the jump.
Buy these coolers from AliExpress:

I was able to buy the MT6 but it came with thte MT4 mounting clips for AM4. The installation was pretty good and easy. Also I heard that buying the non rgb or non argb fans are actually better due to them being more quiet than the other versions. Awesome video. I got a dual fan mt6s mounted on my lga 1366 system. I have to say that even tho it was a bit finnicky, installation wasnt really that much of an issue. The plastic push-pins held up through my rather aggressive installation. The mt6s on my atx x58 mobo did intrude on the first pcie slot, so i actually have it rotated so its exhausting to the top of the case. Does an excellent job cooling my w3690 overclocked to 4.12ghz.

Already have an ID-Cooling SE-224XT Black V2 myself but I took a look at Snowman MT4 and MT6S coolers as I'm considering upgrading to a better cooler for my older pc that has a Xeon E3 1240 V3 and it doesn't look like I would be getting one. Snowman coolers were priced pretty cheap around ~$10~$25, but they have problems with the packaging like you mentioned. But most reviews on an online marketplace I checked had really damaged boxes for them to the point where some looked like a ball that was kicked around by a bunch of kids. Lots of crumpled boxes so the heatpipe tops were peeking out, and worst ones have the fan broken and the copper heatpipes cracked. Pretty weird if consdering this in Asia and China isn't too far, but that's pretty telling that the packaging or kind of a lack of additional supporting material inside like foam inside the box is the problem for the beat up packages. There's potential mishandling of packages by couriers, but I've ordered a dceent amount of suff fron China and never seen packages as beat up as those Snowman coolers. Even more unfortunate is that some people who got damaged Snowman coolers had a hard time getting in touch with the sellers.

Snowman T4 Black Edition is now using the same mounting mechanism as the T6, just letting you guys know. In my country though where the cooler is shipped locally instead of coming directly to China. Also the mounting kit here both contains the AMD and Intel variants (but stil the same crappy Intel Mounting Kit). Snowman T6 Black Edition here with 2 ARGB Fans included that should come with a free thermal compound plus 2 mounting kits is around 35.5 USD. Currently I'm using the Deepcool Gammaxx 400 (4 pipes) and its using the same mounting kit for AMD as the ones used with the T6. They are hard to use AF.

I bought one of these snowman coolers, the low profile cooler with the fan facing down towards the cpu) for my i5-9400 and it was such a pain to get the clips on. It ended up being so loose that I can spin freely but it doesn’t seem to ‘rock’. I may have damaged the cooling by applying too much pressure idk, it still works fine though, temps are low enough. I used thermal grizzly paste on it too. I want to build into a new tiny case, I have a ‘dtx’ mobo and from some research it seems it will fit into a 3 slot itx case, I also need one that fits an atx PSU though. I’m thinking about getting a aio to replace the snowman but I don’t wanna spend more than $150 on the case+aio

@@iskanderbouziane3300 it is beyond excellent if you replace the stock fans with some good fans (my mt6 has 2 fans). Tips for installing this kind of cooler: install the brackets as you normally would, however, loosen the screws as much as you can. Install the cooler on the loosen brackets. Tighten the screws diagonally with a long screwdriver to force the cooler on your cpu. This would ensure that thermal paste is evenly spread and you don't have to worry about the stupid clamps of the cooler. Note: unless you have very delicate hands, you should install it free from your chassis. To uninstall it, follow the steps backwards. Uninstalling will not require motherboard's removal from the chassis.

ID Cooling 224 see xt works with 3700x stock very well about 60-70c with case, good noise level also. Best thing, it uses secure firm mounting clone, super easy to install.

Got the MT6 for cheap here in PH. Great bang for our buck and a solid performer. Downside is if you have a built system and you want to change to MT6 you really have to extract the motherboard because of its old ass mounting system.
@namtrieunguyen7630
@namtrieunguyen7630 3 жыл бұрын
Actually, I figured out that if you slowly loosen the screws of the motherboard's mounting bracket, you can easily remove the cooler. However, the catch is that you will need to remove the motherboard to reinstall it. This way of installation ensure the paste always spreads evenly.

The mounting installation of the MT6 cooler is actually based on the T20i Cooler Master cooler one, and trust me, they have the same pain in the butt when it comes to the installation, but for the price, it is pretty much what you can ask for.

I've been using this M-T6 dual fan for almost 6th months it's great deal. Bus mine cooler wasn't black and no RGB fan. It has white fans that are attached to M-T4 in the video. Try testing M-T6 with non RGB low RPM fan that comes M-T4 and you'll see downgrade in performance.

here's the thing, in 5:06 why would you make your life harder when you can loosen the 4 screws of the am4 brackets then tighten it after you place the 2 clamps. no messy thermal paste, no force needed and no danger of damaging any parts. Is that easy?
