I’ve been eating raw meat every day for past 4+ years no food poisoning. I do follow rules regarding sourcing, preserving, quality, freshness. I eat raw meat every single day. I do high fat no carb carnivore diet. I don’t eat raw chicken though because I don’t have trusted source, if I had it I would, but I don’t and that’s a rule so not adhering to that rule would increase risks, of course it’s risk of salmonella right which some studies have benefits for but many people would wanna avoid it so reducing risks of getting it would be preferable for most so based on that, they should probably follow rules. For example as a benefit, salmonella has recent studies of targeting cancer cells and killing them. It’s an interesting topic, hopefully more studies are done on it.

@@user-pp3rm5hs6h Raw chicken doesn’t always have salmonella. I think in the UK, there’s around 6% chance from supermarket regular chicken (not corn fed or free range) for example. If you go to a trusted farm, that would be below 1% chance.

@@user-pp3rm5hs6h also, if you have cancer, salmonella can have benefit. Bad bacteria aren’t just against you, they target cancer cells. Harvard did a study on this a few years back. Scientists right now are trying to remove the possible damaging effects of salmonella on the body to use it as a way of targeting cancer cells and inhibiting their growth plus actually killing these as well. There’s the guy that started the raw primal diet. He recovered from cancer eating raw chicken. Also depends what type of salmonella is in the body. You can’t say every single type of salmonella strain is pathogenic. The serogroup of salmonella it’s in is important. There’s different factors that could change the result. But considering you can source the chicken safely, people have the chance to reduce the chances of consumption of any salmonella, and I think in US they are doing the normal retail chicken around 98% being salmonella free so that’s still 2% chance but going to a good farm and letting them know you intend to eat raw, they will be able to give salmonella free chicken if they are truly a good source, then it falls on you to preserve properly. So it can be avoided. I personally avoid it, I do a raw diet, have been since 2020. There’s ways to mitigate risks. You can ferment too, that gets probiotics to kill bad bacteria on/in meat. There’s ways to control and lower risks.
