Does all Spanish come from Latin? Why is "buenos días" always plural? What on earth does "qué tal" really mean? If you've found yourself asking these questions at some point when learning Spanish, or are simply etymologically curious, then this video is for you.

Easy Languages is an international video project aiming at supporting people worldwide to learn languages through authentic street interviews and exposing the street culture of participating partner countries abroad. Episodes are produced in local languages and contain subtitles in both the original language as well as in English.

funny, spanish is the only one with only 5 sounds for vowels (similar to japanese a e i o u), so it could be easier depending on which spanish you learn from 20 different nationalities)

Todos los que han estudiado historia saben esto... porque los árabes gobernaron España durante 700 años y hasta el sur de España, la mayoría de las ciudades tienen nombres árabes... Aprendieron la honestidad y la justicia.
