I've got an idea for you chicken(s) .... put the chicken coop inside of the red pen and make a small access door in the bottom of each of them...train your main chicken that it is home... clip her wing and put her in the coop for a few days at first,,,, then let her in and out of the coop into the red pen and back into the coop at night... then then she let her go out to the larger area during the day and she will go back in there at night... come out an open the doors in the morning and close at night.... after she is trained, you can get some more baby chicks and she will train them....do the same training process with them as they grow...you'll have a place for them to be safe in the coop in the beginning... and when they get a little bigger they can come and go from the coop into the red pen... until they are big enough to roam the outside area.... and that way the the chicken coop itself will be protected from the other animals leaning, chewing, climbing, on it... and you can give them their own feed and water inside of the red pen and the other animals can't get to them... you can set up your whole safe chicken enclosure and not spend any money because you have everything already, just need to make a couple of sturdy, lockable chicken size doors in the bottom of the coop and the red pen gate.... make sure the doors are too small for a goat to get into....and put come chicken wire along the inside of the red pen for when the chicks are small and to keep predators out at night... all of your concerns are covered :-)

I know very little about chickens but it might be worth trying and like they said you have all you need to do it!

Be careful burning stumps in the ground. As long as the fire has wood to burn it will continue even underground. If the roots run under your RV it could be in danger. So keep an eye out. The property is looking great.

I agree with Danielle. Put the chicken hen in the red pen with a small access gate for them to come and go from so they can still free range.

Awesome deal with the coffee selling out! The red pen could be a safe area for the chickens, putting it around the coop. They can still free range the areas, but will have a little more secure spot from being trampled by the livestock. They'll learn to return at night, back to the safety of the coop. A solar automatic coop door will keep the secure at night in the coop. Long I know, but just a suggestion. Love ya'll ❤️

Be sure to extend that "pad" far enough for proper distribution of the "soil/clay" you are getting delivered, and then rent a compactor and compact down each layer you add, watering it slightly to help with compaction. A house pad should extend 10 foot beyond each side of the structure footprint. So a 24'x24' structure in this case, round, would have a pad, elevated to standard height, recommended no less than 12" above the native ground soil, many locales mandate 18" above grade- compacted for strength, and with a slight slope off for drainage, of 34'x34'. Also, take in account how the water from the rain interacts there and what it's movements are so you are well above any flooding line, hence the 12-18" above grade are minimum. Not doing this right will cost you BIG down the road if a good rain comes along and washes out under your foundational slab. You may also want to think about putting a french drain around it since there is such a elevation difference from one side to the other. Everything above is something you can do yourself, but will require that compactor. You can actually buy them today relatively cheap instead of renting, especially since you plan to build a workshop later. It could also be used to level and compact the barn interior for leveling and building purposes. Vevor has compactors under $400 - plus shipping I'm sure.

The stumps should pretty much burn into the ground, used to soak ours in old oil or diesel fuel

Yall really need to get the chickens some laying boxes. They prefer to have a place that is protected and private to lay. You say they are ok with how they do it now but that's only because they have no choice.

As someone who grew up on a farm there are times you need to separate animals so trust me when I say you will need to keep the fenced in area you made for pickles later it will be needed you need a smaller area when you vaccinate and have a sick animal

Hi Love Birds Ikeep meaning you can give the pigs charred limbs it can help them and gives them something to do and if any of that spent hay is put in a pile it gets hot and breaks down as compost if you wet the pile and turn it over, I dont know if you can spread the poopie hay out for pasture because hay has seed and it can make you animal food.

Curious, do y'all worm the animals? If not, you should get a vet out there, get them tested. You only have to check one of each species to know whether they all need worming. Best wishes ❤

Move that pen out of there put the chicken coop up against it so that can be your chicken run but remember chickens can jump at least four feet high so clip at least one wing that would make a perfect chicken run especially if you cover the top of it with wire then nothing can even get at them like the Eagles or anything
