I enjoy David Lucas' comedy, but yeah that joke was very close to the version Chappelle delivered. The worst part is the pronunciation of "Smollett" is the exact same. You could argue they are both just talking about the same incident, but the mispronunciation of his last name is the exact same in both jokes.
