While I was searching around I came across this amazing resort that is 3-4 years old, it is the Iberostar Selection Esmeralda en Cayo Cruz, so I couldn't hold myself and I changed my reservation to it. Have you been there? There are not many videos about it available, it will be great if you two get the opportunity to check it out.

That beach was amazing. That resort is awesome! I'd go back there again , but holguin this year and next year is santa Maria!

We were there for 2 weeks last November in an al fresco room great room but no hot water the whole time. . Loved this resort because of the staff and the beach.

You're very lucky to have a job that allows you to take some time off during low season, I would love to be able to be on this beach with you, at the same time, with the same deals! But god knows that with my job, I absolutely can't !!! Well... I think I would choose Holguin since I know there are much less mosquitos. Enjoy!

Glad you had a reasonable time there. I group of us went in January and it was easily the worst experience we've experienced in 20 years of traveling. The beach was amazing but everything else was awful unfortunately. I've heard its improved some since then but I would never return after our experience. Cheers. keep up the good work

My room was freshly painted, but it's a dated resort. So keep that in mind.

​@@ImagineThereI always had Newly renovated room with modern white lacquer furniture, Modern bathroom Superior Suite Room. It was very nice. AC so cold, dead battery, can't lower or turn off😅😅. ohh cold showers all week was my beef with Caribe.

Cuba is such a complicated place. I wentn1 time 20 yrs ago and never returned but am now reconsidering it. Really I would like to know what your experience has been with the WiFi at these resorts. Can you do a Teams Meeting? Can you upload videos? Can you work online for several hours at a time. Can all of this be done from you room? Do they have any dedicated working rooms on the resort? Love your videos ❤

Wi-Fi is usually good in the main lobby areas. Sometimes the wifi doesn't work in the room. But higher end resorts can work all the time. Video calls are definitely possible and you can just find a quiet spot and do it. Some resorts have dedicated spaces to go and work in. I work from these resorts and I haven't had many issues, especially with wifi in the lobbies.

Hey great video, here’s a sorta complicated question. First ive been to Cuba 15 times I know what to expect and I love it. Since you’ve been to Caribe and memories Holguin, if you had a free trip to either one, which one would you go back to? I know they both have pros and cons, and everyone has different things they like, but just curious which one you would chose ?

Another thing is, It had nothing to do with low season, Canadians are majority of visitors to Cuba, should I say were. In last few years, 70% dropped Cuba. I went low season only, resorts were packed and all Open 5 years ago and prior. Last few years that I went, maybe 100 o 200 guests and not all resort are open. Main cause, Food, Russians in certain resorts and problems. Personally, my reason for not going, but I miss the beaches and my friends there.

I would also say that the economy in Canada is also deterring many people from going on vacation.

​@@jjburns8762 I guess, packed to me is when I cant find a pool or beach lounger to chill or chair in a lobby in evenings, to enjoy my cappuccinos. Most of my stays were at Memories Resorts, Melias, Royalton and iberostar and Valentin, one of my favorites. I was told by staff 80% occupancy, occasionally, no room available at all if I needed to change for a reason. I don't think that will be a problem now or anytime in near future, too bad. 😢
