Filen's speed is actually fine, though most likely the best. They just don't pay for referrals lol. Take the lifetime plan while you can. You can easily resell it in a couple years at the same price anyway. Filen allows this completely.

Reselling? How if the account is hooked to your email address? +Lifetime is still a risk to purchase. Wanted to buy like 6TB of space but maybe it's smarter to stack as years go by, seeing the company grows strong and doesn't fade away

Filen's speed isn't terrible, but it's also not the best. I agree their lifetime plans are a really good deal! :)

@@eladbari It's easy to change your email address if you're already logged into your account. There are no confirmation codes for changing your email address. I've been using Filen since 2021 as my primary and only cloud. Even then I was completely satisfied with the speed and quality of synchronization of all data. I remember though that it started with me liking their austere and progmatic design * )

Corrupted some of my files :( I have to say I've been with them for close to a year now. Overall an interesting option for the price, just would avoid using them for important stuff. Hope they keep improving!

Datacenter in Germany... big security risk. There were many cases of german law enforcement gaining access to Servers and Data in recent months and years. Even though everything is encrypted... still nothing I would want to trust

Encrypt your sensitive stuff locally prior relying on filen

They don't store any data as raw, even if their data centers were seized they would just find gibberish, even the filen team can't decrypt our data that is stored on their server.

Not possible with Filen, so no issue here. If you're using the service to share files that go against the law, then that's on you and you deserve to go to jail.

Everything is E2EE, and scattered, they have no data on where.
