Arguably another benefit of stormcaller aggro is that stormcallers miss a lot if units move. If you're aggro, the enemy units stand in place killing your incoming stream, so they miss a lot less compared to using them against aggro.

I’ve had a player once condescendingly tell me that “who has double shot on scorpions” in a game where double shot beat that player lol, I will never understand peoples aversion to double shot scorps, it makes them so much better at things that can hard counter them, mech div balls have their crawlers instantly killed, shielded fangs have their sheids delaying utility stripped away, if you add acid attack on for a second or third tech, you can get 250% damage on your second shot and kill units that only a melter would have been able to quickly dispatch, so much more useful than having field maintenance that this player had.

Just won an aggro game with storms and siege scrops on the line. Opponent didnt have enough chaff infron of tower. Won quite easy

He didn't have missile interceptor on his mustangs. So that option was not viable for him. He only had HE, range, AP, and aerial.

You don't exactly want lvl2 mustangs wasting shots on missiles if you can avoid it - they were also filling a roll clearing disparate chaff that arclights aren't good for. I think sabre AM would have been good, even if it's kinda shit, because at least it doesn't cost the sabres anything to use it.
