I'm a first time mazda owner and I'm super impressed with their fit and finish. I compare our mazda 3 GT premium with our loaded 330xi M package and they're very comparable, and they're $25000 apart in terms of pricing. That's a huge price difference, but the quality difference is very minimal, and we get unlimited mileage warranty with Mazda and not with BMW. Good job Mazda. I bought this exact car the 2020 model and it is magnificent. I traded in my BMW 2007 750Li and wow. It drives and looks like a BMW for a third of the price. But the best part, not one single thing has broken or even hinted at future maintenance which is definitely something I could never say about the 14 Bummers I've owned that were all great driving cars but they liked going back to the dealership for maintenance. @@goosem4554 I actually traded it in this September for a 2022 Mazda CX-5 Signature. The 6 was a really solid car. I had it for about 1.5 years and didn't have any major problems with it. The only minor issues I had with it was some excessive wind noise, door panel rattles, and a few other small things that were really just inconveniences rather than actual problems. After a year and a half, though, and with the minor issues I had with it, I knew the 6 wouldn't be a car that I would want to drive for 10+ years, so I switched to the CX-5 Sig and I honestly couldn't be happier! Great review but a few things Raiti got wrong... 1) The adaptive headlights don't "steer"... the cameras sense oncoming cars (and cars that you are following) and dim only the LEDs that would blind those drivers. If you are approaching a car on a corner, the LED's will dim for the approaching car but show you (on high) the road behind and in front of the car. Very cool. 2) You didn't have the HUD displaying the traffic signs.. (I suspect on purpose as you, like me have a bit of a heavy foot) but it shows you the current speed limits, any stop or yield signs, etc. as well as your current speed and where you are in the lanes when you have the cruise control and LKAS system turned on. 3) The touchscreen on the Nav system only works when the car is stopped (although you can easily install a "hack" to turn that safety feature off). 4) He completely skipped over all the technical safety stuff (don't follow his reviews - yet - so perhaps he always does) but it comes with Lane Keeping Assist (not nearly as aggressive as the Honda system but works well otherwise), Stop and Go Radar Cruise Control, Driver Monitoring (watches for patterns in your driving that suggest it might be time to take a break), and a bunch of other features like great blind spot detection, automatic braking (forwards and backwards), etc. Other than that, it was a brilliant review and I just bought a Soul Red Signature Edition with the Chestnut brown seats instead of the white (which I didn't want as I can't imagine living with them with kids and a dog). I'm coming from the original Coupé styled 4 door Mercedes-Benz CLS 550 and this thing rivals it for looks and beats it on luxury. I'm used to people drooling over the CLS 550 and that has already started to happen with the Mazda. They did a fantastic job on the looks (the front end looks to me like an Aston Martin) and that Soul Red colour is beyond stunning. All the options that cost me a fortune on the CLS 550 are included on this puppy and then a lot more. Can't quite touch the 400HP Naturally Aspirated V8 with 397 ft-lb of torque (with a 4.7 second 0-60) but comes closer than I'd have thought possible with the 250 HP, 310 ft-lb of torque in a Turbo 4 cylinder... Sounds wonderful as well plus it won't cost $1K every time you take it to the stealership. While my Admiral drives a Honda Civic and loves it (I don't mind it and the looks eventually grew on me), the looks of the Accord make me want to vomit and the Hyundai looks like a well used bar of soap. I figured I'd try out the Mazda and if I like it, I'll pick up one of the upcoming Straight Six/RWD Mazda 6's in a couple of years as if they can do this with a 7 year old design, imagine what they can do with a clean sheet.

Having owned several over the decades, I've long liked Mazda products; even bought my daughter a nice, low mileage, good condition 2016 Mazda 3 this past year. Very solid car w/overall good performance... but my son bought a '15 Passat this year also. Yes, I know, it's not a direct comparison but for quality and build-wise discussions, it's not even a comparison. The Passat wins hands down. Solid, rigid, quiet platform, enormous interior room/trunk space and just overall superior performance in every aspect. The Passat just sings Teutonic quality whereas the 3 rumbles w/acceptable but lower end Japanese quality. He bought the Passat first & I was so impressed w/it, I tried talking her into getting a Jetta, a more direct comparo to the 3, but nope- she fell in love w/the 3. I don't think you can go wrong w/either but if I was car shopping, I'd be looking Volkswagen first. So Joe, howsabout you go test drive a newer GTI or Passat for us and give us your impressions?

VW presents with Germanic solidity and quality interiors at a budget price... but it’s a mirage. They rank last in reliability. They make parts in their drivetrain out of plastic that should never be made out of plastic. The cars eat batteries and window winders.

@@youcanrunnaked Pretty much the same can be said for the Korean makes. So far, knock wood, his VW's have proven reliable. I wouldn't mind a GTI w/the tartan plaid interior, of course, sitting in my garage.

With the Signature - are the seats/leather softer or more comfortable than the carbon edition or the grand touring reserve trim?

Yes, the Signature has Nappa Leather seats and Alcantara dash.

I watched this video once of a new Mazda6 Signature vs a new BMW 530i. I just couldn’t wrap my head around how they compared… until I finished the video. Now I’d happily choose a 6 over a 530i.😬

If they can get AWD on this like they do with the 3, I’d be sold. Hopefully it comes in the next few years.

I’m so torn between the 2021 Mazda 6 touring and grand touring. That turbo charged engine sounded awesome but I’m still debating if everything else that comes with the grand touring package is really worth it.

I have to 2019 sig and honestly nothing has changed but not surprising. Everything positive you said about the car is accurate it really is amazing in my eyes but I will say you really didn't harp on the things that need harping enough. The ac seats are the weakest I've ever felt, the entertainment unit is absolute crap. Its laggy and takes over a minute to boot up that safety warning and when you said touch you forgot to mention its only when your not driving!!!!! Specially for the price of the car! that's messed up. I have been tossing around the idea of voiding my warranty just to replace it its that bad, not to mention the car starter has a vary poor range and doesn't come factory. I will say as well that the back seats really did need more port access without taking away the front passengers armrest ports, having 3 people in the back renders the back ports void. That little bezel in the seat protrudes from the seat backing a bit so if you push the seat in a slightly it pushes into your back and its cheap plastic so it will break and stab you. I've had it replaced twice already and its extremely annoying but it would be great if they made it metal and buried it in a bit deeper cause I am a fan of it ads that character that's throughout the car. But you are on the ball with everything else it feels great driving (would like more power..... never enough hahah) and it feels comfy/soft in the car everything about it is awesome they really did well on that. They just cheaped out on a few things and it really stands out which is a shame cause it is a fantastic car otherwise

hi you suggest me this mazda 6 signature or Ford escape titanium 2.0 awd?? I know it's different segments but I am choosing the best
@DARKH0BBIT3 жыл бұрын
@Amadeus Luciiann it is over 40k at least in Canadian currency. but I would have to disagree with you even if its cheaper this is the top trim of what is supposed to be a luxury sedan and I feel like this is where all the money and effort should have been put in to. I get it for the lower trims but not for this one. and when your already spending that kind of money, a few extra thousand would mean nothing. plus I feel the fixes that would put this up on top tier are relatively cheap and quite simple to do but it seems more like an oversight or the lack of effort
