The Star Wars Battlefront Collection just came out and it's terrible. Even after some of the server issues were fixed, it's still a massive disappointment. Will the Battlefront series ever catch a break with a new release??

PC has 3 servers. That’s 3 more than Xbox got. $35, 70 gigs, and zero online support, plus all the campaign cutscenes are removed as well as galactic conquest reinforcements are lower from 250 to 100 something. Think what pissed me off more than the actual game was the sheer amount of people I saw online either defending this piece of shit or even blaming the people who got excited for it. Even worse was I read someone basically type out an article that said that anyone who ever expects any game, especially AAA games, to be complete and not run like a piece of shit are in the wrong. That we need to NOT have as high expectations for AAA games because IT’S HARDER FOR AAA GAME DEVS TO MAKE A BETTER GAME THAN SMALLER STUDIOS OR EVEN INDIE STUDIOS. So yeah, everyone, if a large studio makes a game we aren’t allowed to hold them to a high standard, because with all those employees and all that funding they can’t make as good a game as much smaller studios with lower budgets. See, that's odd, because I did get the feeling that they removed some cutscenes from the game. But the one you mentioned about the clones' feelings about Secura was in my Switch port. There was one other cutscene with a memorable line I remember: "Suddenly... we realized the Jedi could be fooled. And if they could be fooled, they could be killed." That was not in the game. Weird.

Sadly i can't get a refund since I got this on the PlayStation. When i loaded it up to play Battlefront II a red flag was immediately raised when it played the start up menu twice one for me to pick my user and the other to start game. The next one was how off the sounds were, why are they different? Im glad the AI is tougher but things feel off

The likely reason for the size -- Lack of need to compress textures, audio and videos. So they included every variation, and every locale.....in one build....

Man thank you for this video. I heard about them releasing the classics again and I was hoping they would just basically emulate the old ones and we can replay the great games from 20 years ago. But why do we keep fooling ourselves first off the original company pandemic is no longer around so it's a long ass did we don't have them I've come to learn that when other companies redo video games and try to do enhancements they always mess it up. So far the only remake I truly enjoy right now is Final Fantasy 7. Now I see why it took him so long to do it because if they were going to do it they were going to do it right and they have. Boy I don't understand it it's like we got better games in the 6th generation I've been playing a lot of sixth generation games and do emulation and they still hold up way better than a lot of today's remaster, the reimagining or remake whatevery you want to call it.

Honestly, the reason that battlefield is such a hard concept for companies to make is because executives believe that it will sell based on IP and legacy. Pandemic made a quality game that happened to be star wars themed. Everyone else set out to make a game functional enough to sell based on the star wars and battlefront IP.
