omg my reaction to closer to you was exactly the same, it's just so nice to move your hips to, sounds like club music but like we chilling, it has such a nice vibe to it, and the part you repeated was soooo good, right? and then standing next to you, oh my god, i was screeching too, i was making a really ugly face and screeching and i had such a good time, and jk??? i swear he's trying to kill us all, he's coming for us, he knows it and we know it and nobody is safe. the aggressiveness in his facial expressions in the second half? deadly, absolutely deadly, like, the look in his eyes? like he's mad with a hint of insanity? maybe i was seeing things, either way, it was great. and then the adlibs tooo, ahhhhhhh, he just sounds so good, i can't comprehend how. also, that girl in the video? she looks so fine, and she really matched the aesthetics of the music video jungkook always said that he wants to try new things, musically, wants to try different genres, and he wasn't lying and now he's delivering, and he has proven that he can do it all. this album is just so.... it's so jk. it's nothing at all what i was expecting yet at the same time everything i never knew i wanted. i'm just so proud of him and bts and ugh, i'm getting emotional as always, loved your reaction

I had to listen to this album at dawn and I couldn't make any noise, it was so difficult and I wanted to freak out, scream and jump like Jonathan and I couldn't. I couldn't sleep the rest of the night but when I woke up I listened to the whole album again just so I could freak out and scream and jump because JK deserves all the hype. This is the album of the century, and I'm completely sure that MJ would love to meet JK. Our Golden Maknae did a good job💜✨

So, TBH Love/Romance/Breakup/Heartbreak songs I don't really....connect with I guess, it's not my thing. And while I can listen to them, it's not usually something I'll listen to a lot. That being said, JK sounds so damn beautiful, and the beats were so good and varied, I didn't actually care that this was what the topics were about. Been kinda listening to the album all the way through here and there since it came out. Every song was unexpected and so good, JK did phenomenally. “Seven” is the only song eligible for a Grammy. The cutoff for release is September. So in 2024 he could be eligible for 2025 Grammys. I swear, HYBE better submit it for everything.

It's honestly sad that high numbers matter more for Grammy than good quality. Not saying that seven isn't quality music. I live the song. I listen to it every day but imo it's not "the only song eligible for a Grammy". I'm surprise at some of the criticisms of this song being that JK sounds too much like MJ in parts? I mean the guy came out and say this is a tribute yet there are people deeply offended that JK did a few of his moves and sang a couple of notes like him? Can we not all just enjoy a well made tract anymore without clutching pearls and being super offended over foolishness? If the style of music isn't your cup of tea then sure completely understandable that you don't vibe with it. But to be upset and genuinely offended that JK put in so much effort into a song? Just what??? Insulting him and saying he'll never be MJ? Insulting his voice and saying he's way off and can never be at such a level??? If he hadn't bothered to put in much effort he'd have been heavily roasted. He pours his heart into it and people are STILL offended. You really can't please everyone I guess. And to those instigators going around saying MJ always seemed like a creep and JK sounds better than him, bugger off and stop trying to cause trouble you brats. All of you are so damn annoying like tiny miserable biting ants. Go drink some water or something. Now about the album: not my favourite but that's more due to my personal taste. For me the album isn't perfect since I feel there were a bit too many hands in the pot and it shows, but I also think the album shows a lot of JK's potential. It's a first album and I don't expect perfection from debut albums. I'm satisfied with it, it did what it was suppose to do and the various styles of pop shown gives Kookie enough space to explore different avenues and styles of pop in the future. I will say I wished he had been a little more cohesive with this project but that wasn't the aim of this album. It was to show how he could do any type of pop for a western audience that doesn't know him beyond being the youngest vocalist of BTS.
