'Too long'? Hahaha!! Not for me it wasn't; I become totally engrossed when I listen to well-executed, comprehensive teaching, and no matter the time it takes it always ends too soon!

This teaching is brilliant. If Israel didn’t know Jesus was the Christ then they could not have known the gospel we know today.

I'm a 63 year old man, with tears in my eyes, Thanking my heavenly Father for his love, for his glorious Son Jesus, for His Comforter the Holy Spirit, and his humble servant David Reed. Father may you continue to bless David, his ministry and his family. May many more believers come to know your truths through theses teachings. In Jesus name I pray, Amen

Greetings from Houston. Was recently discussing the differences between the Gospels of Peter and Paul with my sister. I'm an independent, KJB believing dispensationalist (former Disciple of Christ and Baptist). She's a Baptist using the HCSB recommended by her pastor. She gave me an HCSB, but it's spent most of the time on my shelf. She's been baptized twice. Once in our hometown of St Louis, the other in the Jordan River. I'm trying to edify her starting with II Timothy 2:15. Now I have a better understanding of how Matthew, Mark, Luke and John fit the overall Gospel picture. Think I picked up another discussion point for dispensationalism. Fascinating. Thank You. Stay Safe. God Bless. Edify On.

Thank the lord for men of God who were willing to step away from grip of organized christianity...I and my twin brother preacher are benefiting from this glorious truth...we now are boldly teaching rightly dividing...people are astonished at how obvious it is

The attention span of the average Christian is 40 min. The serious Christian is about 50 min. The serious Student of the Scriptures hangs on to every word and begs for more

@@ColumbusBibleChurch I need your advice Dave, on weather you believe it is profitable to spend my time listening to Dr Peter Ruckman. You David, have become my number one Bible teacher and I feel supremely blessed to have discovered your ministry, I get a buzz in my spirit as soon as I see an upload from you, I was introduced to Ruckman about a month before I discovered your good self, and was devouring his sermons and " chalk talks" I had never heard such teachings as his before, but I do recognise similarities between his and your understanding of the scriptures. Could you please help me with this Dave? God bless you and yours sir.

People have argued with me when I teach this especially Roman catholics. Roman catholics and many denominations also use acts 2 and so on In defending water baptism for washing sins away Or regeneration. These reject all of Pauls epistles and Acts 11 when Peter REMEMBERED ( Cornelius and his band) what the lord had told him regarding water baptism mentioned in the gospels and Acts 1 before his ascension, John indeed baptized with water but you shall be baptized with the holy spirit not many days hence. Great teachings and very good hermeneutical, and exegetical teaching. God bless you and your listeners for this sound blessed teaching. Jesus indicted the religious leaders for not knowing the day of his visitation.

Is there a message that elaborates on the believing Samaritan's from the woman at the well? More specifically - what dispensation do they reside in: Law, Grace - Gospel of God? Your narrative of the murder vs manslaughter presents an interesting case for the Samaritans, but how does that harmonize with Jesus saying: 4:22 "Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews."

Romans 1:16 also mentions the Gospel of Christ. How do you identify what he’s talking about then? He’s clearly talking about the Gospel of Christ in Romans then.

Awesome insight of the word of God. I used to wonder why Jesus told His disciples not to reveal He was Jesus the Christ while He Himself told the Samaritan woman He was the Christ. Your explanation makes so much more sense than an explanation I have read before which says that the revelation that Jesus is the Christ is always hidden from religious people. I don’t find that explanation convincing at all. The Samaritan woman was also religious as implied in John 4: 25. The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. 20. Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. Thank you so much for such an insightful explanation.

Why does the book of John indicate three Passover while the synoptic Gospels show only one?

On my second listen of this teaching, I was pausing and looking up additional scripture references. Using BLB, I searched on the word “mystery” in the NT of the KJV, which has been my version of choice for my entire life. As a result, I have a question that I hope you’ll clear up for me. I believe you define “mystery” as being the hidden wisdom of God, correct? With respect to the Gospel of Christ as preached by Paul, this mystery was kept secret since the world began (ROM 16:25). However, Mark 4:11 and Luke 8:10 both use this same word, “mysterion” (Strong’s G3466) applied to the kingdom of God being a mystery, yet it was prophesied by the prophets of the OT. Both references in Mark and Luke are addressing Jesus’ use of parables when teaching on the kingdom of God (ie gospel of the Kingdom?), so this perhaps affects the context. But my question is: If the gospel of the Kingdom had been prophesied by the prophets, why does Jesus refer to the kingdom of God as a mystery? What am I missing in your teaching? I plan to request the notes that you’ve kindly made available to us by email. Thank you in advance for your patience with me.
@ColumbusBibleChurch4 жыл бұрын
The word "mystery" means hidden wisdom (1Cor 2:7). There are both Pauline and non-Pauline mysteries. Some aspects of the kingdom program were revealed beforehand, but some information about the kingdom program was taught through parables because God desired to conceal it from those who were without (Matt 13:13, Mark 4:11, Luke 8:10). Hope this helps.
