Later this Tamil Film Star (TFS) sold us 'Malaysia Boleh' and 'Wawasan 2020' and we swallowed this conmanship exercise 'hook, line, sinker, rod and fishing boat. Where a we today ? This TFS and his cronies are multi-multi-multi-multi billionaires and many Malaysians age going to bed hungry. Singapore is a developed country and Malaysia is fast becoming a failed country. Give ourselves another 10 - 15 years Malaysia will be another Philippines. In 1960's the Philippines was one of the richest Country in Asia, richer than Taiwan. It wasn't 10 years ago, it was 16 years ago. 10 years ago, the exchange rate was already 1 Singapore dollar to 3 Malaysian ringgit. The ringgit peaked before 2012, but after the 1MDB scandal broke in Malaysia, the ringgit began to plummet. It fell from 1 USD to 3.3 ringgit to 1 USD to 4.0 ringgit around 2014. After that, Malaysia’s political turmoil, the drop in oil prices, and other negative factors caused the ringgit to fluctuate between 4.0 to 4.2 ringgit to 1 USD. Around 2020, when the U.S. began raising interest rates, it further hit the ringgit, which once fell to 4.8 ringgit to 1 USD. So, it was 16 years ago, not 10 years ago. Don’t talk nonsense. And now, the ringgit has risen again to around 4.15 ringgit to 1 USD. The exchange rate with the Singapore dollar has also returned to around 3.1, close to the level 10 years ago. Therefore, the exchange rate of 1 Singapore dollar to 3 ringgit was something from 10 years ago, not, as you said, 2.2 to 1 just now. Don’t talk nonsense and mislead people. But I don't see why any singaporeans will buy property in malaysia for staying, as Singapore is better than malaysia in many aspects of life, like traffic conditions, healthcare, etc. My point was that most singaporeans will buy property there for investment, and it isn't a good thing if the ringgit keeps depreciating. But again, if purely for staying, yes you're right.

Yes, our HDB flats are 99 years lease houses, but when we sell our HDB flats for 4.5 million ringgit, we can buy 10 of your big houses, cars etc. Can your one big house buy a 4.5 million ringgit HDB flat? Think about it.

He said both the security guard and the burglar or burglars were in it together. My other friend's cousin got robbed right in front of his own house!

I didn't fork out a cent because it's paid for by cpf. 5 years after I bought it, I sold it off for sgd 900+k. I.e. double. Nothing to be proud of, just where we born into. Malaysia is just unlucky to have corrupted government which led to this failure. And by the way, I've got 3 condos in Vietnam, 1 condo in Singapore, sadly 1 condo as well in Malaysia. Guess which one makes my heart hurts the most?

To save the RM bnm must open the forex trade ie RM is quoted by US n Europe banks But this cannot happen bcos BNM keep interest low to save all glc n other local borrowers n also local government borrowing is in the trillions so must keep interest low . For ordinary malaysia you can just watch RM rate fixed by singapore lower n lower . N if you want to break this trend ask BNM to stop large amount of Rm going to singapore N stop the mamak money changer from taking the exchange rate set by MAS : to do the business n force the money changer to use the rates set by BNM Bnm must see how MAS set the sgd/ myr daily n Bnm issue its own rate n force the market to follow its rates This way RM can go back to 1 sgd to RM 2 n usd to rm 3
