I’ve been to Mexico many times because part of my family is from there, but this trip I happened to look at the moon and saw the waning crescent pointing upward instead of on its side and it absolutely blew my mind, I never realized it until now lol It’s weird how everyone always mentions the same small stuff regarding different hemispheres like the water circling the drain in a different direction and no one ever mentions this one, it has to be the most blatant one

Please explain why I took two pics of the moon, 3 days apart, and the moon is rotated about 45 degrees. In no research that I've done, nor what I can remember, the moon rotates. Same face, different orientation. Same city. Different time of day/different day. Same camera angle.

I assume u meant tilting? But that not the moon tilting it’s just the earths rotation that gives the effect of the moon appearing to have tilted
@loxitto
@loxitto 9 ай бұрын
Because there is something called "Field rotation" (search it up). Since you, at Earth, only use alt/az, and Earth rotates constantly, your angle relative to the Moon will change. One way to avoid field rotation is to use an equatorial mount to observe stuff in the sky (and put a telescope or camera on it), since it will automatically adjust it's rotation to space (using three axes: Right Ascension (Yaw), Declination (Pitch), and Roll.), while Alt/Az mounts use just two axes, Altitude (pitch) and Azimuth (yaw).

@@liftingtheveil8361 Equatorial mounts at the end return a steady image of a celestial body, since it avoided field rotation. Field rotation is the product of Earth rotation and the 3D rotations involved. The sky appears to move because Earth rotates.

@jaysondh8153

It's because it's winter. The earth's position relative to the sun has changed. So the line that divides the dark side of the moon and the lit side seems tilted. But what you've noticed could also be just because of the phase of the moon.

100%, I'm in Kentucky and I've been documenting this phenomenon for a few years now. I've seen it happen from KY all the way down to Georgia and I've seen it in all 4 seasons. I have plenty of pictures of it with timestamps and Geo-stamps. It has never been like this until recent years and from what I've found, around the time this started happening is around the same time they started talking about pole reversal. The only explanation I can come up with is that the earth is wobbling on its axis like never before. It's happened 3 times within the last 2 months as well.

I was questioning everything I knew when I stumbled upon this video. I live in Virginia (the northern hemisphere), and I was looking at the moon through my telescope and I took some pictures. While I was editing the pictures, I noticed that the moon was upside down. I was seeing what the southern hemisphere would see. I then realized that my telescope (which is likely a refractor) had flipped my view of the moon upside down. I went outside to confirm, and sure enough, the moon looked like what it was supposed to look like in my hemisphere. I was so close to putting on my tinfoil hat.

Though I am not a "flat earther" this can also be explained on a "flat earth model". In fact, someone actually broke this down as well using a flat earth model. Personally, I don't think it is flat and I don't think it is "round ball shooting through space". Rather, I think that past "Antartica" there is land that we do not know about. Meaning, I feel like the earth is oblong shaped. The earth as we know it is one side and the other part is past Antartica. Granted, like any theory, I could be wrong. But I will point out, the very scientist that are "main stream" have stated the earth is neither round like a basketball or flat like a pancake.

We never got past the shape of the Earth.We were indoctrinated with a new shape, which is the ball. Simple science can explain the nature of the observable earth in that bodies of water are always flat. Seventy percent of this place we call earth is said to be water. Therefore, the Earth is a plane, with variations in land elevations.

@@a6hiji7since when? NASA has NEVER produced an unaltered picture of earth, AT ALL. We can’t make it past the “Van Allen” belt, per NASA since the “technology was destroyed after the Apollo mission” again, per NASA. The Van Allen Belt is compromised of the inner and outer belt. These belts contain high-energy protons and electrons, which pose a significant radiation hazard to astronauts and spacecraft PER NASA. So we, as citizens and not high ranking political figures, do not know for a fact the dimensions of earth. The galaxies are flat, donut, disc shaped. From our vantage point, the moon, sun, and other planets are also disc shaped with curvature. We can’t see the other side of the moon or other planets. Our vantage point is always one sided and limited despite us flying and rotating through space and time. I’m not saying it’s flat, I’m not saying it’s a sphere like a 🏀 either. Whatever structure we’re on, most of it hasn’t been explored or discovered. So if we can’t figure out the ends and outs of the physical structure we’re on, how can you be so sure of its actual structure?

Though it is a bit off topic my thing to point flat Earthers to is a get a day and night world map, which shows sunrise and sunset where you are, download the map, and then upload it to a website that project an arbitrary image to a sphere. The results are obviously a ball lit from one side. They can deny everything else, but they can at least verify sunrise and sunset, and have people they know in other places do the same. Personally I think there are plenty of things weirder than the concept of a globe, so it is hard to understand that particular hangup.

@@Globeisahoaxx Does that seriously look like a word salad to you? Let me explain this better. Planes, when cruising, have autopilot turned on. As the plane keeps moving over a curved Earth, the ground beneath it will curve. However, it doesn't matter to the autopilot, because the autopilot will always seek to mantain a constant altitude relative to the ground by adjusting the plane's pitch (the up and down rotation). This way, when the ground curves beneath the plane, making the angle between the plane and the ground greater (therefore increasing the altitude relative to the ground), the plane will pitch downwards to stay in the altitude inputted in the flight plan (the cruise altitude, for instance, 39000 feet). This adjustment is constant, it doesn't have an interval, like dipping the nose every 20 minutes. The plane will always, regardless of it's current situation, adjust the rotation of the plane to achieve the desired altitude.

You look up to where the chandelier should be, dead center in the ceiling, but instead see a circle with the word 'hello' in it. The word 'hello' is correctly aligned to you for where you are standing. Now someone comes in and stands in the corner OPPOSITE you. The word 'hello' is upside-down for him. Moon is an electromagnetic phenomenon and happens in a semi-aetherial field above It is made from fluorescence and phosphorised Aether or Krypton Cosmic electromagnetic energy comes from below (Black Sun) and hits the inner side of our toroidal field. There is a prismatic refraction of this cosmic energy there, that separates it to (+) and (-), creating the Sun and the Moon at two moving spots with shape like lenses below where they are focusing. The Moon is a live reflection of the earth like a mirrored x-ray. In this way it reveals to us all part of terrestrial and oceanografic surface of the earth. These characteristics serve us the full map of earth kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZnZp3l-ed9meqs

Not sure why you ridicule people and call them Flat Earthers or tin foil hat people, just because someone inquires as to the shape of the Moon phases if viewed from either the southern or northern hemispheres. It's a viable question. I certainly hope you aren't a school teacher who ridicules children who ask questions for clarification. If you truly desired to present actual PROOF of your premise, you should reveal ACTUAL PHOTOGRAPHS of the Moon phases taken on the SAME DATES at both the northern AND southern hemispheres, rather than simply show us 'images' of how they 'should' appear. You should also show photographs of the Moon phases on that same day, taken at various locations at or near the EQUATOR for purposes of comparison.

Thanks for this video. I have long felt that this simple observation is the best proof of a Globe Earth. It cannot be reproduced by the flerfers and is easy to see. Professor Dave covered this effect but did not put enough emphasis on this effect. I commented on it and he replied by saying he covered it in the video. I think it is more important than that. I call the three Mares to the North right, from the Northern Hemisphere, eyebrows. The middle one is the Sea of Tranquility and Apollo 11 landed at the Southern point of it. The Moon is beautiful and we take it for granted some times. Look a bit more closer and these effects stand out amazingly.

This is rediculous. To do this properly so that both north and south hemispheres residents have a real proper perspective. Turn your phone when the video is showing the top and bottom lines. Turn your phone on its side and both are seeing the exact same thing. There is no up or down in space weather your in a space shuttle or standing on the earth. If the famous first photo had been above say the north pole then that would give the impression of a totally different perspective wouldn't it? But it's not based on that photo. People living in the southern hemisphere could say we are upside down. Me speaking as a northern hemispherian. Lol. It's simple. It's just that science doesn't always have it right. Gravity for example is a theory. Not a fact. So is evolution. So is carbon dating.perfevt example. The original calculations were wrong so anymore calculations based on the first so called acceptable one, would mean it is not likely right and everyone there after as well. So nobody is upside down. So then nobody is right side up. . Leaving only one viewpoint as far I am concerned.. if main stream science knows carbon dating is based on BS then why would they go along with the lies.. well..they kinda like the paycheck like everyone else. Go with the flow and keep your head down.

@Ken-m4x4f stop it with the gravity/evolution is a theory stuff please! Especially with gravity. The theory part of the Theory of Gravity is that it's unknown what causes gravity, but gravity does in facrlt exist. As for evolution it's a similar thing. All the indications are that it happens and that Darwin/Wallace have how it happens right. The theory part there is that it's not known for sure and may never be but there is no better competing formal theory. It's science being honest about things not being absolutely known but can be accepted as factual until a better idea comes along. Don't confuse a scientific theory for a personal conjecture, especially when people's conjectures don't have any supporting evidence. A 'colloquial theory' does not deserve to be elevated to the level of a scientific theory but people try because the words are used the same way but mean two different things. Oh for carbon dating, it's known to work pretty well and it's limitations are well understood. I think people argue it doesn't because it pours cold water on their personal theories about the age of artefacts.

When looking at the picture of the Moon on a wall, you won't be able to see the Moon upside down from 1 direction. Let's say that you are in California looking west at the Moon. Another person in Chile would also be looking west at the Moon. Reality of the Globe Earth has the Moon look upside down in Chile.
