I have been watching the NBA for 50 years. I have NEVER seen any player, let alone a superstar, get this kind of treatment. It's infuriating to watch and I don't know why Kerr and the Warriors organization allows this? Why aren't they fighting harder for their franchise player? It really does make you wonder if the whole system is rigged. Cause this isn't the same basketball I'm used to watching.

Nike League obviously… but also, the NBA has invested 23+ years in gassing up Lebron, they don’t want all that hype going to a guy that ends up finishing second place in his own era. Which explains Steph playing by the Jordan rules AND explains the Lakers getting the best whistle in the league by a mile.

Steph will close games covered in scratches, play 43 min, and get 3 free-throws when almost 50% of his shots in some of those games are in the paint. He gets thrashed inside and never gets any calls. The game where Leflop got 2 closeout freethrows and Lakers win in double OT was an abomination. I think the Lakers got 4 times as many free throws that game? Austin Reeves had like 9 shots and got 7 freethrows or something insane like that. The league definitely wants the dynasty to end. Steph been at the top of jersey sales way too long.

Because Steph (Under Armour) will overshadow their King (Nike) if the refs give him a fair call. Those free throw attempts would add to his scores and they don't want that to happen. That's one of the reasons why I appreciate Curry's greatness. He won titles without the help of the refs and without jumping to the other teams just to chase rings. The officiating got so out of hand last season, I just had to boycott the NBA, which continually proves that this is not basketball, but "entertainment.". NO CALL. I've been watching this for 10 years, closely. The Dubs have been so much better that they have been able to withstand the completion and the officiating. They can never beat the nuggets and the edge. Not now. It's too bad because on an even playing field in this head to head would rival Celtics Pistons as one dynasty reluctantly surrenders the baton to their young air apparent. Fact is, the NBA never wanted the Warriors. Not only did they show up ahead of schedule, the human torch could defy the script. The NBA simply had to fall on its sword and take the L. It wasn't in their best interest to have a dominant dynasty. The league makes the most money when most of the teams fan base feels their team has a chance to win it all. Ticket sales, merch sales all go up. There is no amount of amazing marketability that one baby faces assassin or class organization can bring to override the sales of 30 hopeful franchises. Michael Made the NBA so much money, and he could beat the script, but as its been pointed out recently, Curry didn't sign with Nike. I had never even consider this but it's seems like the missing link to the story. If anyone thinks what I'm saying is ridiculous, it's because (1) it hasn't happened to your team yet (2) you don't play basketball nor understand the essence of the game (3) "your still living in a dreamworld, Neo") Don't worry, I'm jealous. I wish I could unknowingly take the blue pill and pretend that the NBA is a tournament where the best teams compete on a fair playing field night after night. People that believe this are more nuts than I am. But god bless them. They realize this is just a fun time out. I wish I could take it lightly, like my Brother-in-law, but when you lose your innocence you grasp to the things you can believe in, to hold on to your childhood. (playing) basketball was a huge part of my becoming a man, so to see it's perversion hiding in plain sight, sadly reminds me that wherever massive amounts of money exchange hands, corruption will always prevail. If you got to the end of this rant, congratulations. I can't believe I wrote it.

the honest truth is he's just too good and the NBA knows it. He's the only player guarded the way he's guarded because of his ability to shoot. The only way these players can guard him without him scoring 40+ a game is to stay in his grill and foul him pretty much on every play (he gets no space at all). As far as the NBA and refs, it's obvious they don't want him to overtake LeBron or sumn. & the refs figure that since he shoots a lot of 3's and he's the greatest shooter of all-time, he probably is gonna make the 3 so they don't call the fouls. it's sad.. my b for the essay mane but ts crazy

steph is better than lebron no debate but the refs don’t give him calls which makes lebron glazers say lebrons better because he gets more points and if it weren’t for the refs in that double overtime vs lakers the warriors would have won

Its always been like this for Steph. The league is doing their best to prevent Steph from winning more titles. One of the reasons is Nike being Nba's biggest sponsor and with Steph and the GSW team being non Nike brand endorsers, they don't get the right treatment.

The NBA thinks the Warriors win too much. As it is now that isn't the case but they still have their foot on the gas in case they get on a roll. Disgusting!

I have been stating this for years! He is the most disrespected 2 time unanimous MVP or Superstar that I have seen! It is all done to keep him from being another Champion! The NBA and the refs definitely stole that ring from him with the Draymond Green suspension. The refs have designed this as their strategy. The close games that they have loss this season involves questionable officiating. They want to hinder them! They want to stop Steph!

They only do steph like that because he would be mvp every year averaging 40+ a game. When he was getting real superstar calls he was mvp back to back, and became unanimous 😂 he is the true all time scoring champion. #nbasbarrysanders.

the more they don't give him that call the more they are jumping into his landing zone. It's extremely regular and it's a time bomb waiting to happen.

Well there was a major issue with this a while ago and i believe the NBA made a statement about a Curry rule. Because of Curry's other wordly ability to drop in points in flurries, they said he can't get fouls like other all stars otherwise his ppg stats would jump up by 10!

I think it's safe to assume that after shooting probably millions of jump shots in his life, he'd know when a defender's momentum would make him take the landing space without directly looking at his defender. Therefore, I think it makes a lot of sense that Steph in this instance (I've seen it before too) would make a quick instinctive reaction whether it is a leg kick out or adjusting for safer falling. If you slow it down you can see the momentum of the defender jumping in and then Curry's leg comes forward. You can also imagine how that would have went if he didn't do that. Poeltl last night actually hit him in the knee and Steph is now questionable for Boston due to knee bursitis. Of course no call or review or apology from the league's officiating or management. If this was LeBron all hell would have broke loose and we wouldn't hear the end of it in the NBA related mainstream media outlets.

All you have to do is freeze this video at 7:29. The defender lands exactly where Curry is supposed to land - Curry's body cannot even land vertically, he's falling backwards because the defender beat him to his landing spot. Yet even after their video review, the referees decided Curry extended one leg to commit an offensive foul.

True and all valid points! The league's issue is, Steph is too good. Steph is so good that he needs a handicap. Just imagine if they called foul on every foul he was a victim of. Warrior games would be unwatchable. They'll just win. If you let Trey shoot in an open gym, he won't come as close to efficiency as Steph. No one would. And how's the defense supposed to defend him? So yeah. As a warriors fan myself. I get it it's infuriating. But hey., they never liked Steph to begin with. So thought tittie.
