Why is the Noon Gun Closed? Lets look into this. EP037

We take a look at the Cape Town Noon Gun and ask the question why we cannot visit the site any longer. I am not a journalist but somone needs to look deeper into this please.

I try to watch it every day & I find that the sound varies - obviously depending on the intensity & direction of the wind, but not limited to. I lie SE of it & on days when the wind is light North Westerly it is definitely louder, but there are some days when it sounds like a small fire cracker going off. Under ideal conditions, I can gear the sound ricocheting off Milnerton, Blaauwberg & back to Table Mountain.

check it out they sold it to a private company. a property company it should be our heritage but the separated this from bo kaap . this is our western cape independent government the do underhand things. you ask questions then post it.

For how long has this been closed to the public? I know of people (South Africans and tourists)who were there about 3-4 weeks ago.They paid money to get in.

To the best of my knowledge, the Noonday Gun is operated by the SA Navy. I make a point of walking out onto the deck of my boat in the harbour every day to watch it going off.

The Noon-gun is closed because of the "Ja-stem" (Yes vote) in the early '90s.

Im actually shocked. About sumthing. About 2 months ago i was on google maps. On satelite view. I saw the jewish star arou d the whole cannon. And it was big. I actually screen shotted it but i must go find it. And after i watched this video now. I went back on to google maps and its gone. So seeing as though cape town is sold oit to the jews. I can understand y the canon is closed. Just my opinion.
