Came here b/c I realized that I played the sims 4 for pretty much 9 hours straight 😅

I loved your last section on applying the Sims to yourself, which I've actually done (or tried to do) IRL. If my sim can start painting and pursuing their dream to be an artist at 3am, then so can I! haha

I did not expect to be reprimanded about cleaning my house and exercising daily in a Sims video, but I must say its working a little.

This really helped me snap out of my growing reliance on Sims😭 When you were talking about implementing out Sims lives into our real ones, I realised I make my Sim do hobbies after work that I would be doing after school if I didn't get home and immediately start playing Sims 4💀 Great video and I love how you explain and correlate things!

Was a massive fan of The Sims Bustin' Out, The Urbz, and the Sims 3 - haven't played in 10 years and then I randomly decided to start up a playthrough on the Sims 4. I think I've spent a good 12 hours on it over this weekend 😅 It's deffo hard to do the things you want to do i.e write a best selling novel while you're working a job that you don't like too much, so the Sims deffo completes that whole "wish fulfilment" for an idealised version of you. With that said, "gamify your life" is a really good mentality to have, so thanks for that :)

Wow thank you so much for this video! I'm 100% a hard core perfectionist, super ambitious and it's so hard to accept that in rl nothing is perfect and to just chill about it. In the sims I can live out this hard core perfection of a fantasy but it also get's boring so quickly and still I can start over 1000 times; creating a sim, let her be me, follow her dreams and achieve everyting. It helped to bring more awareness as to why I do this and also it soothes me to see that I'm not the only one struggling with this!

Well it wasn't The Sims, but one summer before my last year of high school, I was living with my brother. I got up on a Saturday morning watch cartoons til noon, then popped in Tales of Symphonia. Every once in a while I'd get up make a sandwich, grab a drink, or just use the restroom before heading right back to continue to quest of Lloyd and the gang. Then my brother came up to me and said, "Is this all you're gonna do here!? Just play games and eat my food? You said you would get a job." "Yeah," I said, "I'm going to turn in more applications on Monday." "You're going to wait a week!?" he replied. "What? Why would I wait a week!? I'll go this Monday." "It's Tuesday!" I looked to the screen, opened the menu, current play time 68 hours. I saved turned off the GameCube and TV. "I think I need to sleep, I'll do job stuff tomorrow." I then took half an hour to fall asleep as my body and brain began aching like never before or since, and slept for 26 hours. As I got up Wednesday evening, job hunting continued Thursday Morning.

I tried Sims 1. I never got much past getting my stats to slowly improve and building a sunroom with pool. I got bored after that. It’s a formula I just don’t get. I went back to SimCity 2000 and SimTower. And SimCopter - talk about realistic!
