@@Drealdeal_YThere’s my opinion. Everyone’s free to enjoy whatever they want and I have a respect for all the games I mention. But this is how I feel. EA UFC 2 is my favorite. The submissions are meh, the general wrestling/grappling is very good, and the striking is vastly superior to everything else. That’s how I feel. EA MMA has the best submissions and half way decent striking, but horrible wrestling. Undisputed 3 is mid everywhere when it comes to game play. I appreciate the old school roster and the PRIDE mode, but game play wise, it’s just meh. The striking controls are jank because the footwork of all characters is sloppy and parrying gets combined with head movement. Slipping/dodging strikes is the same mechanic as parrying strikes. The “sway” mechanic is dumb because it essentially takes away the option to use head movement. In EA UFC 2, you can hold L2/LT while moving the left joy stick to use your head movement. You can duck, lean back, you can slip Marquez, or slip Dempsey. But they also had a parrying mechanic which was its own unique thing. The “sway” mechanic in Undisputed 3 is essentially just a parry. So in effect, Undisputed 3 banned head movement in favor of all blocks and parries. The grappling in Undisputed 3 I found to be both convoluted and boring at the same time. You’re doing a lot more work to make a lot less happen. In EA UFC 2, both players can be doing relatively little and it will still result in some pretty intense scrambles. In Undisputed 3, you have to do a lot more work to make a lot less happen. I know this can often come down to a skill issue, and this is where I’m being more subjective and speaking from my personal experience. But this is just how I feel.
