Well, here it is. The second part of my Ise Jingu Experience series is ready. Sorry about the wait for this one! It’s been ALMOST finished for ages, but I haven’t been quite satisfied with it until now. (It’s not an easy topic to cover, you know. 😅)

Nice place to wander around doesn't look like many westerners go there at least in your video. The Okage-yokocho area looks fun I would like to see a video of you guys visiting all the sites another area I need to see when I visit Japan next year. Thanks for the info

It always surprises me how few foreign tourists are there…considering how popular the area is for domestic tourism (not just for shrine visits). Okage-Yokocho just has such great atmosphere. 🍻

This really makes me want to visit Ise. I had never heard of okage maeri before, or the connection to Okage Yokocho's name!

Great place and atmosphere. The video is super informative as usually. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻

Thanks for the comment! Yeah, it’s a pretty awesome place - my own ‘camera’ (phone) and skill level can’t do it justice. If you’re ever in the neighborhood, look me up and we should collaborate on something. 🍻

That’s a great idea. I will let you know. 😉

Very interesting to learn about the history and foundational mythology, Jordan! Yes, please, on the more in-depth food and drinks tour of the area!

Ohisashiburi! Thanks for the comment. Actually, I was just thinking I should do a Mie (+Wakayama?) culinary tour video. Or…better to stick to one area at a time? 🤔

@@Jordan-inJapan My thinking is to do more in-depth in a concentrated area, because when I am planning traveling in an area I pin locations in my Google maps from reviews/introductions from people I tend to trust.

Well done dude! This video is awesome.

Thanks!! It was actually pretty challenging to make. Lots of research…it felt like I was doing a project for school! 😆

@@Jordan-inJapan LOL! I get that. Love the music and your editing skills are getting better. Are you on Instagram yet? LOL! This place seems familiar, but I am not sure if we went to this shrine all those years ago when I came to Japan to visit you.

I'm going to be visiting from Kyoto in May. I only have a day so I think I'm going to have to speed run this. Would love the food guide!

May is a great time for a visit! Usually nice weather, and not too crowded in Ise - unless it’s the first part of May, when we have “Golden Week” holidays. (Then it will pretty crowded.) As for the street food guide, I don’t know if I’ll have that one ready for you in time or not. But anyway, I don’t think you’ll have a problem finding something good!
