US make Pannu more important than our bilateral relationship, lecture us publicly belittle India on religious freedom, comment at free will on our political events and yet think we would not express our nuanced response like this to put US in place is like living in glass house. Super power is one who doesn’t participate indirectly in war but holds sway to maintain peace or resolve conflicts. US lacks that fine balancing.

Why is US behaving like Taylor swift in that song 'you belong to me'? Is this international diplomacy or high school romance?

I would say as a country we can do whatever we want. But 1. It is true Russia will side with China over India 2. Sometimes this balancing act is very difficult even for experienced diplomats 3. US will always ask you to do things their way. 4. Europe didn't make much noise why US is so upset?

Yup betting on Russia long term would be a loosing game. But switching dependence from one to the other is also quite foolish. Collaborating with multiple partners to achieve self reliance is key.

1)According to stats india visit to ruasia has fallen drastically than before 2) india understands it's vulnerabilities . 3) Russia visit was inevitable for india in geopolitics. 4) india doesn't expect any support from anyone it's understood by the indian govt . 5) our eam understands the situation clearly . 6) US never supported or will support india , their goal is to end india and china by making fight each other . There's more

A sovereign country reserves right to meet counter part as per country needs But one concern is Will Russia help india incase of escalated tensions with china
@deccanheart

Look at all the Indo-China conflicts. Soviet / Russia has NEVER taken our side. Did you see them take a stand in the recent Twaang Chinese incursion, or the Chinese claim on Arunachal Pradesh? No. Putin was silent. It is the US that is warning China about these claims. Moreover, our Balance of Trade, FDI, Tech - everything is from the West. Can you really think of anything that India needs from Russia? Nothing. We have Nothing to export to Russia. We are blinded by our infatuation to our own detriment. It is immature and foolish to expect Russia to side with us in such a scenario

@BalajiHariharan81
@BalajiHariharan81 27 күн бұрын
Russia already did help diffuse the tension last time during the Galwan escalation. Both countries value each other's relationship and have stood by each other during tough times. Russia also supported the recent scrapping of article 365, the only permanent member to do so.

@@BalajiHariharan81 - You are so misinformed. It is the US Intelligence that tipped off India. Moreover, the US has been training and equipping India to fight a High Altitude War
@BalajiHariharan81
@BalajiHariharan81 26 күн бұрын
@@deccanheart tipping off is not the same as helping diffuse the tension. US doesn't have the same leverage over China as Russia does and the US obviously is as anti China as it gets which Russia is not and will never be. Nevertheless, the relationship stands on its own merit. Russia is a big player in India's nuclear sector and is the only one to accept Indian liability laws and have a very productive relationship there. They have been very helpful in the restricted technological areas in space and defense sectors over the years unlike any other country, until recently when the US has been willing to help. Russia just has been a much more consistent and reliable partner over the years. You don't abandon such partners due to international pressure. It tells a lot about a country.

I personally feel that Russian weapons are inferior to European or Western weapons be it SU30 or S400 or T90 tanks. only thing India get is cheap oil or Russian support to India in case India is at war with China. This could have been handled in subtle manner
