(spoilers.) Both of them are very similar, but as you said, Isagi can literally get a new skill and playstyle in the middle of matches, which is insane. While Ashito had to spend entire days developing his 2-touch pass, when he did, he perfected it and learned triangle formation with it in a match. So I'll say Isagi's evolution is way more powerful, and his IQ is better on the pitch. Because of the fact that Ashito got tunnel vision in his match against Funabashi and completely zoned out, instead of adapting to the overwhelming pressure, he then got himself booked. So I'll say Isagi is way better right now, but Ashito can probably show what he was compared to Barcelona in the manga.

This video is kinda confusing(minor spoilers) 1. Isagi can't master every skill but rather he is a genius in adaptability, allowing him to adapt and grow in dire situations 2. Isagi's field IQ is insanely high, especially in the NEL and although I've only read/watched Blue Lock i just wanna make that known 3. Isagi is rather average in physicality and techniques(he gets better in the NEL) and this is constantly talked about in the NEL since his body half the time can't keep up with his brain

few problems with Isagi: You get almost everything about Isagi's skills wrong. You say "isagi can master any ability" except he can't. There's a reason why he didnt even think about trying to copy the Kaiser Impact. In his own words, "Thats an ability unique to Kaiser. Even if i spend a lifetime practicing, I'll never be able to master it." There are only a few moves Isagi can master and its moves that don't require you to be born with insane talent such as Naruhaya's off the ball movements. Isagi already had good vision so understanding where to be, how to get past opponents, an enemy's blindspot, etc came easy to him. Isagi's true strength is understanding himself and his limits. If he can understand his limits, he won't get hung up on something out of his control and instead chooses a path he can achieve. Example 1: instead of trying to copy Nagi's full sprint trap, he chooses to use his own skill, the direct shot. Example 2: Isagi realizes he isn't capable of changing Barou's playstyle so he uses his vision to create a play where he can score. Example 3: Isagi in his first NEL match realizing no matter what he does, he can't score with his current capabilities and instead decides to pass to Kunigami while simultaneously denying Bastard Munchen's philosphy, and by extension, Kaiser. He isn't Sae or Rin either, he can't "destroy" other people's skills especially with their own skill. He can "devour" them in a sense where even if an opponent brings out every bit of their abilities, vision, and talent, Isagi can still win (via scoring goals or outsmarting).

He broke down how it worked immediately after seeing it for the first time in the 3rd selection (when Rin did his blindshot), immediately again when Barou did it, and pinpointed the exact timing as to when Gagamaru would be exposed. My guess is that, mentally, Isagi has already mastered it but doesnt have the physical capabilities to use it. Barou, Rin, Kaiser all have top tier dribbling and shooting to be able to adlib solo. In comparison, Isagi would need to construct a play where he can use predator eye the instant he gets passed the ball to allow him to use direct shot.

I prefer central attacking midfielder any day, it's not like i don't like striker, but CAM position is just legendary (maradona, zidane, zico, ronaldinho, messi). Ashito plays that position pretty well... While Isagi he probably has better rating if he's midfielder instead of forward, since the metavision would provide pretty much everything he needs in there. There were so many times where he's defending way too deep, which is stvpid if he wanna be a striker. But as a CAM, that is forgivable.

This is a tough one! I think it's better to compare them in game. Isagi has the mentality and adaptability, Ao has the IQ and playmaking. I would say that Ao would definitely make it tough for Isagi most of the game, but ultimately when the going gets tough, I think Isagi would win. Mostly because he's the kind of guy that wins you games. He's the "one" that comes in clutch when you need him. Love Ao, I think if he actually existed he would dominate as an attacking midfielder. He would be a generational talent. But Isagi just has the mentality to fight and push through a game and find a way to score! While I prefer Ao, you can't discredit Isagi's ability as a clutch striker, I have to give him his flowers!

Yeah, I don’t doubt Isagi takes the win but fr, like if you read both mangas you’d see that ashito and isagi really are opposites. Isagi learns to go from playing as a team to prioritizing his own goals. Ashito goes from playing for his own goals to supporting his team. They are both players who develop rapidly but ashito is better at commanding his team to work as a unit while Isagi is better at utilizing his team for his own benefit. Isagi has way better fundamentals, and although his dribbling and physicality aren’t great compared to other NEL players, he has much better ball control, speed, and I would say shot power and accuracy.

Ashito's story is longer. In blue lock the autor skipped too much time and made Isagi better too fast. Ao Ashi is more realistic, Blue lock is more spectacular.

I'm both fan of the series, Remember that at Zero-zero Ashito is Trash, huge pile of trash, aside from his wide bird's eye view vision, there's nothing more. While isagi is a low grade know's the basic striker, he just lacks ego, not proper basics or traning. At Zero-zero til 300th of both series's chapter, Isagi will eat Ashito alive, Ashito will just be Hiori Bootleg capacity at best

A manga vs manga comparison would be better although isagi is faster in adapting to its surroundings but with the latest ch in both mangas we can see the development is huge in ashito also... So it could go either way depend on the mc how fast he could come up to beat the other....
