"Everything that begins to exist has a cause. The universe began to exist. Therefore, the universe has a cause." And he laster he gives reason why he thinks the uinvese began to exist. This is what william lane craig used and won prizes for popularizing it.

@Al-Azdi Well, the story was told in a more dramatic way by an intellectual of the name " Adnan Ibrahim " in one of his lectures, I had no reason to doubt the truthfulness of the story ,,, but again look at the difference between what westerners did with that principle established or at least mentioned earlier by " Alghazali", Descartes himself, used it to scrutinize a lot of medieval thinking and even elaborated some mathematical principles, and later on ,during the enlightenment years, thinkers especially my favorite one Voltaire, and even scientists were writing and thinking on sound grounds, Voltaire had a ruthless attack on the religious establishments, and religious leaders ,but at the same time he had no problem with God himself , I personally think they were good bodies. On the other hand, arab-muslim ,even the best of them, didn't notice that little sentence or, let's say, neglected it , because the masses were never ready to accept anything new ,and they probably still aren't,,most recently, when "Taha Hussain " in the early 20th century tried to apply that same principle to scrutinize and criticize the authenticity of pre-islamic poetry, he was harshly attacked. Subsequently, ideas and theories are there for those who make good use of them, like oil ,and guys you know who first discovered it..!!!

So the thieves agreed and took his money and the books, when Gazali pleaded the thief said what kind of knowledge is it if a person like me could steal it. I'm a deep thinker. forced to be one by Allah. very normal on the outside for most but solo battles with life and reality for 30ish years. i was asking God "Why?" since age 9 as i suffered in private w no understanding or help from those closest. near 35 i stopped thinking. willingly. when you have a guide for reality by the Maker of Reality and life, thinking and questioning reality after that just leads to chaos and confusion. Muslim philosophers realized this. they realized if you have a solution to every problem and guide for right vs wrong, given by the Creator, then why uselessly ponder as limited beings and reach the same result after 1000s of tests and trials which caused many to go astray!

During the medieval period, particularly the Golden Age of Islam (8th to 13th centuries), Muslim scholars played a crucial role in preserving, translating, and advancing knowledge from various cultures, including ancient Greek, Persian, and Indian civilizations. They translated important Greek philosophical texts, like those of Aristotle and Plato, into Arabic and built vast libraries. The most famous of these was the House of Wisdom in Baghdad, where scholars gathered to translate and preserve knowledge. The Librorum Prohibitorum (The Index of Forbidden Books), which was a list of publications prohibited by the Catholic Church. The church issued it from 1559 to 1966, claiming that certain books were dangerous to the faith. These included works by authors like Galileo, John Locke, and others who promoted ideas that contradicted Church teachings. the Inquisition, during which the Catholic Church, especially in Spain, sought to suppress "heretical" texts and ideas, including books that were considered to challenge Christian doctrine. This included the works of early scientists, philosophers, and even certain religious reformers. There was times when Muslims put their lives on the line to save libraries and books, like in Bagdad and Cairo, which lead us all to be where we are, and not still in dark ages.

That depends on how you interpret the word philosophy. In how we define philosophy in today’s context he was critiquing it (I.e. metaphysics, epistemology, and so on). In the Quran, God encourage human being to learn and study His creations because by doing this, we'll learn how incredible the wisdom of God and thus, make us closer to God, which is why scientific study was very extensive during the golden age of Islam (8th - 14th century).

@@TheologyMade Not so sure I care or follow Ibn Sina, I am a Muslim. He has been debunked, warned against by literally every notable Scholar. One of many of his blunders, are: 1. Ibn Sina supported the Aristotelian idea that the universe is eternal, contradicting the Islamic belief that Allah created the universe ex nihilo (from nothing). 2, He emphasized the immortality of the soul but seemed to downplay or reject the physical resurrection, which is a core tenet of Islamic faith. 3. He argued that God only knows universals, not particulars, which contradicts the Islamic teaching that Allah has perfect and complete knowledge of everything. This is just to name a few, so once again there are no Philosophers in Islam

As of right now there is only John Hoover as the main figure I think mostly lol but in a couple decades there will probably be more- especially since Hoover misses on some stuff. Ibn Taymiyya’s critique of Greek theology and thoughts on language is very overlooked for just being basic or “anthropomorphic” or “literalism”
