Knife Center put out a video with the Watu last Christmas. At that time, Seth (from Knife Center) said it was his favorite Spyderco. At least that’s how I remember it.🤔

Got mine about a week ago. This is the sharpest out of the box knife I have had, somewhere between insane and shaving. Came drop shut without any need for breaking in and perfectly centred.

I immediately thought of the cyber truck as well. It's a great knife though. The nub doesn't bother me and you get used to flicking the blade closed. Unfortunately if you include the blade kick, its like 3.25" long, but the cutting edge itself is like 2-7/8", so legally might wanna be careful 3" only guys.

I had a Watu, and REALLY wanted to like it. However… Taichung left tool marks on one of the liners, the damn “nub” is more prone to hit your finger when closing than ANY other compression lock model, and the 20CV edge chipped after I cut a couple slits into a Triscuit box, (very thin, mild cardboard). That was the last straw. Imo, the Watu isn’t worth anywhere near ~$209, (the MAP for this model), so I returned it. Ymmv

I’m really liking your videos! Other then hardly ever consistently mentioning the price early in the video, along with the stats rundown, and that horrific deep voice mod I find extremely annoying & difficult to get past. Somehow brings to mind a combination generic, witness protection plan voice masking with a dash of subtle unspecified sounding voice more at home to protect the anonymity of some disturbed character featured in pedophile documentary’s. Seriously ditch, the deep voice dsp. It causes ear fatigue in more individuals than you would suppose. Your content is good enough to stand on its own without the bazaar choice to artificially deepen your voice in such an obviously artificial fashion.

I certainly don’t have any right to expect you, or anyone else to for instance, always systematically mention “the time of recording prices “ of every object they feature practically after the name of it is mentioned, or soon after. Still it is just as valuable information as any other attribute of any product. If only for historical record purposes. Maybe the extreme dislike bordering on cringe for the pedestrian sounding voice DPS is my own personal issues carried over from dabbing in mid fi and studio audio interests. Much like edc knives, once one crosses over closer towards the edge of the audiophile rabbit hole, it becomes increasingly more difficult to unhear what had previously been almost imperceptible.
