About 2 weeks after I installed them (correctly), I accidentally brushed my knife off a table onto a hardwood floor. The next day I noticed a crack, through the standoff screw. It turns out PEI is BRITTLE. It cannot withstand a simple, common drop, which to me is a deal-breaker. I love everything else about it.

Ok thank god, cross threading does exist outside of knives that I own. I watch all these YT vids where people just haphazardly jam their screws in and start cranking with zero threading problems. Meanwhile I gingerly align and fineness with 1/64 turns and immediately mangle what was once a perfectly threaded screw.
