Why Isn't My Dwarf Iris Blooming? Time To Replant Iris Pumila!

I have an old hypertufa trough that has tiny iris planted in it and they have stopped blooming, so I decided to replant them in fresh soil and also closer to the surface. They were pretty well buried. Do you think that is why they didn't bloom?

Yes, I had a few blooms this spring. I searched for any posting but couldn't find it. I will find a photo and put it on the community tab. I wish there was a spot to upload a photo here.
