So beautiful! Loved seeing Lara, and hearing her heart felt words. Her role as Eden has struck me as such a beautiful example of what marriage should look like. Eden is not settling for fine. She loves her husband and respects him but also lovingly but firmly reminded him that their faith was what their marriage was founded upon, and that God is who he needs to depend upon. I loved that scene in episode 4. I was very convicted. I can learn by her example that a woman can show anger and sadness to her husband but at the same time deep love and respect. To do less is to settle for fine. Bravo to Lara for digging deep into herself while praying for guidance to create this amazing character. I love her passion for being a part of this show and her understanding of the weight of it, and the power behind it. So very thankful that she will be written into future episodes, even though she wasn’t invited to the wedding 😥. Lol. Dallas is doing a new thing. And we get to come along! What a joy and a blessing! Can’t wait to see 5-8!

It is so gratifying to nail a scene. Even when a director is not what you'd want him to be, when you hear that the important people on set really liked your work, it underscores that feeling of getting it right. Even for some secular story, doing the work well is always an answered prayer for me.

I love the chemistry between Eden and Simon. At times you forget they are actors portraying as Eden and Simon and believe that they are a couple in real life. God certainly has his hands all over this project and working with Dallas Jenkins to chose the actors who perfectly fit the characters they are portraying like a hand in a glove smooth like ice. It is truly amazing.

So very glad The Chosen isn't on TV. Haven't had a working TV in over three years! I look for uplifting and enjoyable videos on my tablet with you tube. During this shutdown I've found daily church services, instructional and educational programs and The Chosen!! It has so uplifted my spirit! Can't find anything like this on TV. And on TV you can't skip the ads after 5 seconds, or pause the program when needed. Love all the info and background snips you share along with your reference team of ministers. Everything Chosen is great!

My favorite line delivered by Simon's wife is, "Don't you say that my family is troubled in the mind, Simon. We are colorful ... and fun!" Just another example of how real, how interesting and how full of good humor the script-writing is in The Chosen. And, Lara Silva's delivery is a huge part of it. I love it. THANK YOU! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I'm an aspiring filmmaker/Director, and there are so many ways that the Chosen inspired me. 1: You don't need a studio! Every time I research producing films (especially tv shows) everyone talks about how to get a studio to pick it up. But I don't necessarily want a studio to own my work for the same reasons you're talking about (if God wants to great but it's not my main goal) But given that EVERYTHING tells you that's how it has to be done, I was starting to believe that I didn't have a choice and that really made me not want to pursue that dream as aggressively. But then I found the Chosen. A beautiful, heartfelt series completely independent from the studios and honestly better than I've ever seen before. It's so inspiring to see that it is 100 percent possible and it gives me new hope. 2: A Heartfelt Christian series. I honestly have had a hard time with a lot of Christian films. It's very clear that so many of them have the agenda of preaching rather than telling a story (there are some standout ones that are different, but its rare). Movies are hard enough to find, but a series? Forget about it. I love movies, but I've always had a draw to series because the have the potential to go much deeper than a movie. I was happy when I found a good Christian movie...and then I found a series. An amazing series that 100 percent glorifies Jesus but has everything a series needs and some. 3: The characters look like me! I'm African-American, and almost all the Christian films I've watched the main characters are white. Whats worst, reading Christian books and the bad guys are described as being...well...black. Take Narnia for example. You have the good guys, who are fair men of Narnia and Archenland, and then the demon worshipping calormen...also known as "the darkies "😢 Not to mention Jesus always being portrayed as white. Here, not only are the actors middle eastern, as the geography implies, you even have africans from the surrounding areas. What gets me is that there is no bias: there are good and bad people of all nationalities, not one good and the other bad. 4: The behind the scenes. Really, keep doin those. It's so amazing to hear yo breakdown some onset lingo and even watching you direct is helpful. I've worked with myself mostly, acting in my own films, but I want to branch out. Honestly watching you go behind the scenes and seeing how you talk to the actors and crew has been more helpful then a million tutorials on directing. KZbincomment, but I hope you get this and know that I am so thankful. Please don't stop. The world needs more shows like this one. So again, thank you.

I love that she shared about her faith, and that she prays for help with in getting her scenes right. But I also love that this show is impacting people who love Jesus and also people who aren’t sure and have been hurt by the church, and even people who have never sought Him before. I believe that Dallas chose the right actors and it is cool that it wasn’t based on the fact that they all believe the same things. God knows why they were chosen and how they and all of us will be impacted by the show. I have seen so much beauty come from The Chosen, and I am trusting in His plans for it, and for the impact in the viewers and the all the people who were chosen to be a part of the production.

I totally agree with your choice to keep it off the Networks because Dallis, you are so dedicated to what you believe in - the whole show from start to finish, and the Lord, and His purposes for doing this. Your method has allowed so many of us to get behind you in terms of sharing and getting word out to our friends. You have so many dedicated followers who are so eager to see more that we are not likely to let it all fall down, and even though we are not actually involved, in fact we are. We are involved in our excitement for the whole thing, the familiarity with the actors and actresses and our talking about it all. I get - We are family, just like my brothers and sisters and me - and WE ARE ALL TOGETHER IN THIS. Please keep it up. Dallas, I couldn’t agree with you more on “doing a new thing.” Entertainment and media is changing and you are on the forefront! It’s very exciting! Wow! Lara is such a fantastic actress! I didn’t realize how young she is. She seemed way beyond her years in that scene in episode four. What an amazing portrayal of real love. A love that desires the best for another, desires for him to be what God made him to be. Also, an inspirational character for us women. Strong, feminine, wise, funny. I loved the charactor of Eden. She was so special. The relationship between her & Simon was terrific. There are so few really happy marriages today. I don't subscribe to Netflix, Pure flix, Hulu, Amazon etc. I don't have all the extra money for those things. Nor do I want to spend my money in that way. I feel blessed to receive the Word of God through other ways and God always makes a way for those of who do not support Hollywood and all the other money making productions on earth that are NOT walking in the Word of God.
