Also they are thrown out of their houses into the streets and the houses are either demolished infornt of them or given to the Jewish settlers. I am not just saying this, I can show the videos of this. Nothing like this is happening in Gaza. The reason is Hamas. In 2005, all the Israeli army ran out of Gaza because they were not able to resist hamas. So they started blockade on the entire city. Hamas actually protected the city. Moreover, Israel provided many job opportunities for these Palestinians and they crossed the border daily (pre-war) working within Israel and earning money to provide to their familes. Are there checkpoints? Yes. A lot ? Yes. Terrorist attack remember? Israel already has 2.1 Israeli Arab citizens, they have equal rights, they can vote, have education and they participate in the Knesset, some of them even join the IDF. More than that, the thousands of Palestinians which were killed in Gaza from the start of the war, are almost entirely Hamas’s fault, because is using those Palestinians as human shields. That’s why Israel is using airstrike to kill terrorists and not artillery, because airstrike minimises the amount of casualties that artillery is capable of making. And before you come and blame Israel for the suffering of Gaza, you should look much deeper. It’s all fault of the people of Gaza, they let a terrorist organisation such as Hamas to rise up to power, and commit those horrendous atrocities in the 7th of October. @@briennethemaidYou can apply the term "Settler" to the Israelis in terms of the "Illegal Jewish Settlements" in the West Bank, which I (and MANY other Israelis and Jewish people around the world) believe is part of the Sovereign Palestinian State and is unfair, unjust and illegal towards the Palestinian people. Which it is. "Colonialist" is a bit more complex to be applied to Israel, since Israel is its own "self-contained" nation state and isn't a "colony." For example it was ACTUALLY the British (who are WELL-KNOWN for their 🌎 Settler Colonialism) that first imposed a mandate (the Balfour Declaration) on the Jews and Arabs back in 1917 that were already peacefully (by and large anyway) living in what we know today as Israel & the Palestinian territories. However, in 1947 the British turned the Mandate over to the United Nations (who also could be considered the "other" Colonialists in the Middle East at that time) and they in turn created the Partition Plan which also defined the current borders Israel has to this day. The British Mandate ended on May 13th,1948, and then Israel declared it's independence and Statehood on May 14th, 1948. The Palestinian people could have declared their own Statehood in the West Bank & Gaza at that SAME time but didn't. Instead they declared war on the newly formed State of Israel. At the end of that war (which is thought of as the War of Israeli Independence) which is considered to be the "first Arab-Israel war" within the broader context of what we today know as the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. After that, Egypt controlled Gaza and Jordan controlled The West Bank until the "Six Day War" of 1967. Each & every time Israel has offered the Palestinian people a State in Gaza & The West Bank & an enduring ☮️, they have refused it, because they believe they are the ONLY people entitled to ALL the land, but they are not. It's the land of BOTH peoples.

Thank you for truthful and thorough analysis, i wish many more "mainstream" outlets approach this horrific war, like you did , we Israeli people, wish no harm upon people in Gaza, we want to live and prosper, and build great future for our children. My heart is severely wounded by the horrid images of the atrocities that civilians from Gaza committed alongside the hamas terrorists, my murdered friends scream for help, i cant forget these images. it is truly infuriating and suffocating to be in our skin after october 7th, but it is equally so for the innocent people in Gaza(and i hope with all of my bleeding heart, there are such people there)the amount of money and aid that was provided over the years could ensure their equal opportunity to flourish and build infrastructure and institutions to show the world their worth, to get them a place at the world table, but instead, it is embezzled by greedy fanatics, who prosper by drinking their own people's blood. i hope that those of them who still have the spark of critical thinking, use this opportunity to scream for the outside world for help, help to relieve them of this cancerous growth that is hamas, save your children, for the sake of your love for them and their future.

I appreciate your effort to speak unbiasedly. But there were several things to point out, but I am going to list two major unavoidable facts. 1. You referred to a CNN video to explain how Hamas is the reason behind hospital blast, but in that video CNN analysts referred to a broadcast of Al Jazeera, but Al Jazeera confirmed the rocket from its video was completely destroyed mid air. 2. You said Israel ordered Palestinians civilians to leave, but the truth is they neither gave them enough time nor an option to shelter. The only problem in most of humans’ brain is being unable to hold 3 truths together 1. Hamas’ brutal attack on Israel is unacceptable 2. Israel’s bombardment on Gaza is unacceptable 3. Both 1 and 2 are happening in the context of occupation which is also unacceptable
@lowfatlatte0 Жыл бұрын
israel attempted to end occupation several times and were denied each time with violence. A people who are dedicated to killing someone don't get to complain when they are killed in self defense. A people who are offered what they demand then turn it down more than once do not get to cry foul on occupation. Israel has tried the peaceful solution repeatedly, and they can only do it so many times before only a fool would try again.

Yes, you must reject Hamas, their methods spell disaster, and Hamas started this conflict that they had no ambitions to win... Yes, we on the outside do have a right to share our perceptions. As Gaza, had Jews removed for their own protection, Gaza was freed and receiving money to develop; look at what happened, Gaza voted in Hamas, and began the same hatred, that lead to conflict...everyone in Gaza, was at some level linked to Hamas, we see this rediculous tunnel network, linking homes, hospitals, even schools...so people even when free, were being raised for a form of jihad...so what did you expect Israel to do... The fact is, yes the original Israeli settlements needed ratifying, as well as agreement from the people that were already in the land...ultimately this forced settlement started thus conflict...yet wasn't it an example of the kind of justice we cry out for from Western Governments? It's sad that we still live in an age where we can't agree on changes for the good if civilisations...

As an American/Canadian dual citizen living in Maryland, let me be frank here: I can't care less about what whether Palestinians want peace or not. We are all partial when it comes to territories and it's impossible to be generous to all. So for an outsider like me who is neither a Palestinian nor an Israeli, the question boils down to whom you have solidarity with. Naturally different people have different answers to the question but as an American the reasoning is pretty straightforward: Did the Israelis celebrate 911 all over the streets? Do the majority of Israelis support the massive killing of Americans? Do most Israelis believe apostasy warrants death penalty and gays should be executed? Those are the questions to which the majority of Israelis have exactly the same answers as the majority of Americans have. The majority of Arabs/Palestinians, in contrast, embrace the opposite answers. That's it. People can print "Israel is evil..." on their shirt s and wear them everywhere but in this world which country is not "evil" to some extent? Is the USA itself so innocent? Isreal's catalogue of criminal violations against Palestinian civilians is almost as long as the catalogue of violations perpetrated by various Palestinian, Arab, and Iranian outfits against Israeli civilians. Of course neither one is remotely as long and as blood-soaked as the list of abuses carried out by the United States against civilians all over the world. But at the end of the day we are what we are. I am American - I love my country no matter what. My interests and perceptions align with no country other than those of my own. We have friends and we have enemies - the distinction between the two has nothing to do with any specific moral verdicts but is purely based on the actual bilateral relationships between "we" and the country in question. The reality of the world speaks for itself: the "evil" Israel is naturally America's best friend in terms of values, ideologies, religions, economic and technological ties, and most of all, security interests. In comparison the Palestinians are NOT Americans' friends - they hate Americans' guts. That's all there is to know. You stick to your friends no matter what, while treating your enemies the way they want to treat you - even if you forget they are your enemies, they won't. For those on the opposite side of the aisles and find both Israel and America abominable - I am taking NO offense. I am sure from your perspective you have good reason for holding onto your position. I respect you as a worthy enemy. (It means I respect your right to do oppose us without the delusion of presuming any common ground between us - worthy enemies are still enemies.) With all these being said, there is one thing Americans' enemies will discount at their own peril: the USA after all is the only Superpower in the world. We are also at the center of an alliance system that includes in its ranks literally every single one of the world's 30+ industrialized countries, from France to Britain, from Germany to Italy, from Poland to Spain, from Canada to Australia, from Japan to South Korea... Our power is unshakeable and we stand behind Israel hell or high water. If enemies of the US and Israel don't want peace - so be it. "No peace" is the last thing the USA is afraid of. So I am sorry Palestinians but we really don't need your good opinions and we have no fear for your harboring a lasting hatred against us. The opinions of Palestinians or Arabs in general, have absolutely zero impact on our power. Despite all their ill-wishing we remain a flourishing superpower and enjoy a standard of living and constitutional rights they can only dream of. Their perpetual grudge against us is something we absolutely can afford to withstand.

I have been hearing about this Palestinian and Israel conflict for close to 50 years and what I am noticing is people are actual researching the history on their own today. It use to be that everyone believed whatever the mainstream media said but those days are gone, many will research the history of this matter and come to their own conclusion. This is why Israel for the first time I can remember is getting a lot of surprising resistance from groups they did not in the past. No one with a functioning mind would ever support the Govt of Gaza and what they did to Israeli citizens, but that's not a reason for genocide of an entire people, send in special forces and take out the bad guys not children'.. You have mother's marking their kids legs and arms, so they can know what body parts to claim after air strikes from Israel.. Why didnt Israel just not create militarized borders on someone elses land in the 1948 nakba then? That was the start of all of this and Hamas was only founded in the 2000's, Israel has had 60 years to as you say alleviate the oppression, and indiscriminate bombardment Palestinians have faced. Palestinians have the same right to support armed resistance in the form of Hamas or any other organization as Israel has to support the IDF despite their well documented war crimes against literally everyone including americans on the USS liberty. Israelis have no right to call palestinians deniers or radicals until they fix themselves.

@@UNPACKED I've seen some of the videos, including the one on the USS liberty. Its curious that details are left out that prove beyond reasonable doubt that it was a purposeful attack and that war crimes were commited, the first hand accounts of the victims, unmarked aircraft, shooting up of liferafts and claiming the survivors of the attack are lying about firing back. I dont need a incomplete video about war crimes to tell me what jamming of emergency frequencies mean, 1. They knew beyond doubt the ship was american or they would not know what emergency frequencies to jam, and 2. They did not want the ship to be able to call for rescue. The life rafts were also shot up as they were being deployed which is a war crime. You said in that same video which I have actually have opened in another tab that there is doubt about the findings of the joint US Israeli investigation, and say antisemetic conspiracy theories have stemmed from it, meanwhile everything you said about the official story has been debunked by the crew of the liberty at length, and we even have audio footage to prove the Israeli chain of command knew it was an american ship. It frankly seems that doubting the stories of the survivors of the liberty is less productive than believing the story of the perpetrators, and is tantamount to denial, almost like believing a proven lie from Hamas or any other organization that has proven itself with time and numerous examples to be dishonest and with its own intentions. And regarding what you said was an innacuracy on my part, yes I'm aware between 1948 and 1967 that Gaza and the west bank were occupied by Egypt and Jordan, but that was a result of jewish militia groups trying to enforce the exact militarized borders on someone else's land I was talking about, remember the Haganah and others were already operating in the area for quite some time trying to force palestinians out and militarizing the borders in lands most of them came to as refugees. If there was a border between Gaza and the west bank maybe you would have a point, but you do not as it is Israel militarizing the borders. (Someone else's because 80% of the land given to Israel in the 1948 UN partition belonged to palestinians, jews owned 10% of the land and were approx 20% of the population). I like to educate myself with primary sources whenever possible, thats why I felt you citing your USS liberty video is unnecessary, as if I wanted to see something that completely ignored the statements of fact by the ones that were attacked and know exactly what happened, or the NSA aorcraft that intercepted Israeli comms confirming they had identified the liberty as american and to sink it anyway, I would just look at the Report Israel itself made on the event, because it ignored all this evidence completely, and thats not an antisemetic conspiracy theory, this being a rugsweep is historical fact, or the very US govt wouldnt try to push the Israeli claims on the american soldiers and threaten them not to talk.

@@UNPACKED Video is not available. Also, I don't know if you can just say "even with settlements and military occupation" because life seems pretty miserable for a lot of people in the west bank. Also to say freedom of movement? how so? We can clearly see in the west bank there is not freedom of movement. They are living under settlement and military occupation and it is horrid. The fact that a "democratic" country can treat people under its occupation like this is ridiculous. They are having their cake and eating it too. Controlling land that isn't theirs and not treating the civilians under that control equally. If you are going to point to how they lived before and say "but look, it was slightly more garbage!" then don't bother. I know people have experienced worse conditions, but this is an America-backed, supposedly democratic country we are talking about. They should be held to a higher standard than dictator and terrorist group rule. If they are going to claim to be democratic, then they should treat all civilians under their control equally. Honestly, if they could be held to a truly democratic standard where all people were treated equally, then I might even support an annexation of Gaza and the West Bank if it means the people get to keep their rights and their land without being harassed. This outcome is obviously impossible due to world conditions and because Israel would cease to be a Jewish state overnight. This also relates to the fact that an ethno-state is inherently undemocratic but that is a story for another day.

It is tragic. But Israel has warned Gazans broadly for weeks, including sending millions of flyers, and making thousands of individual phone calls to ask Gazans to evacuate war zones, or places Israel knew they’d have to bomb because Hamas was embedded there. The problem is Hamas is a militaristic terrorist organization who also controls Gaza, so they’re embedded in much of Gaza. I don’t know what the civilians of Gaza should think or how they should channel their grief, but I’d hope at least part of their anger is towards Hamas. I also hope the people as a whole realize that continuing on a path towards hate and aggression does not end well for anyone. There have been other countries whose civilians have been intensely bombed (let’s say Germany and Japan in WWII) and yet somehow their people emerged, after much time and global support, able to rebuild a peaceful, productive future largely without vengeance and anger.

@@Green7JR Israel took land as a result of multiple wars initiated by Palestine, which Palestine lost. That's how war works - if you lose, you may lose territory. Look at Germany or Austria as examples. Even Egypt and Jordan had occupied Palestinian territories, but this is often overlooked in public discourse, where it's easier to portray Israel as the sole 'terrorist.' Palestinians are systematically indoctrinated through education and daily life (e.g., TV shows) to hate and kill Jews. Some of them act on these beliefs, and then there's an outcry when Israel defends itself. I'm not saying the Israeli government does everything right, but portraying Israel as the terrorist when it's clearly Hamas, elected by the majority of Palestinians and publicly celebrated for terror attacks, is misleading. Most Jews in Israel want peaceful coexistence with the Palestinian population. But how is that possible when even small children express a desire to kill Jews? It's well-known that Hamas calls for the extermination of all Jews, and that's the only reason they need to attack Israel.

i respect your take on this matter however i have a couple of points i want to ask about . 1- almost all of the video was about hamas being the problem to palestinians . yet you don't mention any of the disgusting stuff that the IDF does to those same palestenians (torture ,kidnap their kids from their homes in front of their parents) 2- almost all of your sources shown were either american or non trusted sources , why have you not taken from for example "al jazeera " or " al arabia" ? specially since they have alot of coverage on this matter and most of it is from gaza which is the whole point of this video . it seems to me that this video is incredibly biased towards the us and isreal . 3- a small correction . the hospital you say was bombed by hamas was infact bombed by IDF missles as they have said them selfs deleted it then said it again after alot of backlash . the same thing with the said party where young isrealis were murderd a recently published police investigation shows that it was an isreali chopper that killed the teens at said party thinking they were hamas "terrorists". 4- in the current war hamas does not have big missile bases they shoot their rockets and drones from small portable close range rails that they set up and take down when their done and these are usually used on the front lines due to their small range . im not saying that hamas rockets never miss , im saying they rarely do thus not every rocket that hits a house or a hospital is a hamas rockets that missed specially not after the IDF sends warnings to said hospital saying they will bomb it or publishing on the internet saying they will . 5- isreal acusses hamas of alot of stuff while some are indeed true most of it is incredibly laughable . specially after being presented with evidence against it . hamas treats their hostages as people as proven by the 2 released hostages (search their videos up ) and sends them for treatment . the death of current hostages is because of the amount of bombs dropped on gaza as said by the hostages themselfs , on the other hand isreal does not as proved by the countless videos online. the same can be said about alot of said accusations specially about the "40 babies" as there is literally no proof of it only accusations while there is recorded proof of babies dying from the isreali bombarment . this video does a good job of showing 2 things the first is how hamas got power in gaza . the second is how u managed to change that narative into hamas terrorizing even their own people . also for the record. isreali soldiers have been recorded using palestinian teens as human sheilds. in the recent years i dont think hamas soliders have

If you study Israeli history you can see that Palestinians didn’t even exist as a people until a couple decades before Israel. And ever since then, they have relentlessly purged the Jews and killed them in mass numbers. Meanwhile, Israel has done the best they can to achieve peace and settle a two-state solution with the Palestinian people. In afdition, the hospital was confirmed to be bombed by Hezbollah. Also, American sources are just as trustable as any other, Muslim sources cannot be trusted since they openly hate Jews.

This is so slick. He seems so likable, so knowledgable, so compassionate. He speaks so many truths, with depth. It’s almost as though he’s not twisting and misrepresenting those truths. It’s almost like we should praise Israel for its genocide.

Brilliant. I think you are the first person I have seen online express this issue with mental agility rather than an emotional meltdown.

If the population of Gaza would want to live their normal lives in peace i'm sure they wouldn't chose hamas in the first place, this population have chosen hamas,and this population didn't show an opposition to hamas's regime, and now, this population is going to pay for that.

The problem is they won't. Israel could have prevented that terrible day in which Hamas raided that nightclub, as Hamas had threatened Israel and explicitly stated they would be doing these horrible things - and Israel just sat back and watched, as this would give them an excuse to brutally attack Gaza. Attacking Gaza gives Hamas itself fuel - it makes people angry at Israel, it swells the anger of innocent civilians until they stop being innocent. It is the exact same reason that al-Qaeda, ISIS, ISIL, and the Taliban got so powerful - because the citizens in their respective countries felt like they were on the right side. The IDF and Hamas thrive off of each other - they grow fat in power because they use their citizens as human shields, blame the other side, and watch as their numbers grow. They use anger to get people to join their barbaric, bloody causes. If either side wins, it will come at a disastrous human cost of either Israelites or Palestinians - and neither of these peoples deserve it. TL;DR: the IDF and Hamas have a mutual relationship - they depend on the other side committing brutal, savage acts of violence to justify their own brutal, savage acts of violence.

Have you ever heard of the term resisting occupation? Israel is an occupier and Palestinians are resisting. If you put people in an open air prison and abuse , torture, oppress , kill their families infront of their eyes, terrorize, humiliate , rape and murder for 75 years , how do you expect them to react ???? Be it in the presence of hamas or else, Palestinians have been persecuted for years and they have all the right to resist. The story doesn't begin on October 7 we are talking about an apartide state which didn't exist 75years ago. " In the age of information, ignorance is a choice!" Go search history and stand on the right side of history, because we will all be judged infront of the all knower and just judged the day money or power will not help!
