Why Israel Must Destroy Hamas | Explained

Even as we condemn the atrocities Hamas committed on October 7th, 2023, many are now asking, "Why should the Palestinians of Gaza have to pay?" and "Why is Israel making them suffer?" Gazans have been suffering at the hands of Hamas for decades, and this most recent attack on Israeli civilians forced Israel to commit to destroying Hamas once and for all. This current war, as devastating and ugly as it may be, will ultimately ensure that both Israelis and Gazans can have a future free of terror, destruction, and blood.

You honestly think hamas is the problem here?Hamas controls Gaza and fatah controls west bank. The life in west bank is hell. West bank less than 1/4 of total Israel's area and there are more than 540 checkpoints.They don't have the right to travel, even inside the west bank. They food, water and all basic needs are controlled by Israel. Also they are thrown out of their houses into the streets and the houses are either demolished infornt of them or given to the Jewish settlers. I am not just saying this, I can show the videos of this. Nothing like this is happening in Gaza. The reason is Hamas. In 2005, all the Israeli army ran out of Gaza because they were not able to resist hamas. So they started blockade on the entire city. Hamas actually protected the city. He just skipped all the atrocities by Isreali's and made his point.

Why does Egypt have a blockade with Gaza too? because Gaza is a TERRORIST state, and they dont want anything with them. rightfully so. Moreover, Israel provided many job opportunities for these Palestinians and they crossed the border daily (pre-war) working within Israel and earning money to provide to their familes. Are there checkpoints? Yes. A lot ? Yes. Terrorist attack remember? Israel already has 2.1 Israeli Arab citizens, they have equal rights, they can vote, have education and they participate in the Knesset, some of them even join the IDF. What they're trying to say, without actually saying it, is that no one has the right to criticise Israel or call out Israel on its war crimes. Even if Israel has murdered 3,000 Palestinian children in the last 2 weeks. Even if Israel has cut off all electricity, food and water from the 2.2 million Palestinians living in the Gaza strip. Even if Israel have prevented life saving medical aid from entering. Even if Israel has bombed one of the oldest Churches in Gaza and murdered the Palestinians inside. Even if Israel bombed a hospital full of sick, injured, pregnant, Palestinians inside. How can you blame Israel for not supplying Gaza with food, water and electricity, when Hamas clearly uses all the money and supplies they got from Israel to fund terrorism. More than that, the thousands of Palestinians which were killed in Gaza from the start of the war, are almost entirely Hamas’s fault, because is using those Palestinians as human shields. That’s why Israel is using airstrike to kill terrorists and not artillery, because airstrike minimises the amount of casualties that artillery is capable of making. And before you come and blame Israel for the suffering of Gaza, you should look much deeper. ​@@briennethemaidYou can apply the term "Settler" to the Israelis in terms of the "Illegal Jewish Settlements" in the West Bank, which I (and MANY other Israelis and Jewish people around the world) believe is part of the Sovereign Palestinian State and is unfair, unjust and illegal towards the Palestinian people. Which it is. "Colonialist" is a bit more complex to be applied to Israel, since Israel is its own "self-contained" nation state and isn't a "colony." For example it was ACTUALLY the British (who are WELL-KNOWN for their 🌎 Settler Colonialism) that first imposed a mandate (the Balfour Declaration) on the Jews and Arabs back in 1917 that were already peacefully (by and large anyway) living in what we know today as Israel & the Palestinian territories. However, in 1947 the British turned the Mandate over to the United Nations (who also could be considered the "other" Colonialists in the Middle East at that time) and they in turn created the Partition Plan which also defined the current borders Israel has to this day. The British Mandate ended on May 13th,1948, and then Israel declared it's independence and Statehood on May 14th, 1948. The Palestinian people could have declared their own Statehood in the West Bank & Gaza at that SAME time but didn't. Instead they declared war on the newly formed State of Israel. At the end of that war (which is thought of as the War of Israeli Independence) which is considered to be the "first Arab-Israel war" within the broader context of what we today know as the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. After that, Egypt controlled Gaza and Jordan controlled The West Bank until the "Six Day War" of 1967. Each & every time Israel has offered the Palestinian people a State in Gaza & The West Bank & an enduring ☮️, they have refused it, because they believe they are the ONLY people entitled to ALL the land, but they are not. It's the land of BOTH peoples.

1) Sometimes the conflicts are between Islam and Islam, especially in the Middle East. 2) It's not that they "sneak into". Some EU countries for instance are too open and make it very easy to migrate. I'll add Afghanistan as a country that was not Islamic. 3) They pretty much bring to the host country the same BS that broke their countries of origin (fundamentalism, tribalism and practising Sharia). You referred to a CNN video to explain how Hamas is the reason behind hospital blast, but in that video CNN analysts referred to a broadcast of Al Jazeera, but Al Jazeera confirmed the rocket from its video was completely destroyed mid air. 2. You said Israel ordered Palestinians civilians to leave, but the truth is they neither gave them enough time nor an option to shelter. The only problem in most of humans’ brain is being unable to hold 3 truths together 1. Hamas’ brutal attack on Israel is unacceptable 2. Israel’s bombardment on Gaza is unacceptable 3. Great video, I have one thing I’d add as it’s very important (see next paragraph) First, an first generation American who’s grandparents where Jewish refugees from Iraq and later were forced to migrate to what is now Israel and had and raised my parents. The explanation and the visual context you added to support it was a great way to answer the important questions, that I also agree, are very important to ask to understand this conflict. Props on using facts first, but when important, also providing both sides perspectives when you referenced opinion based context. Here’s what I would add: I think with both a Forbes article and the house hearing report in 2014 are valid enough sources to warrant adding a very important point. That Hamas yearly budget is $1billion. That they also get billions as aid yearly from UN, Qatar, US, and more. I think this helps with the section “Israel’s previous approach….” When talking about how they themselves aided in Palestinians distress. Also how many of Hamas leaders sons are being paid crazy money to facilitate US aid deals as the report says. And that Hamas main leaders are in mansions Qatar. There’s videos and photos of them in mansions and playing soccer. So could be a good visual aid tool too. Also adding Hamas takes a 20% tax on Palestinians still. Extra context includes Hamas budgets then and how there’s billions of unaccounted money yearly. The CRS report (crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/R/R47754) from Oct. 17th 2023 says they increases military spending: “ Hamas' military wing in the past year from $100 million to about $350 million a year.” In a Hamas 2014 budget ratified by Palestinian The Legislative Council and the Reform and Change Bloc. You can see their budget. It’s crazy. They spent 57% on “wages and salaries” at the tune of $509 million. They also say they have 50,000 employees. They also say that those same workers at the time of the budget being ratified hadn’t even been paid for the last 4 months. They also quote the unemployment because of most of the jobs were “construction” jobs, that they directly state where used to b build tunnels. It even mentions the recent discovery by Israel of the tunnels in Egypt and even directly attributed the expected reduced taxes they will be able to claim to that discovery. And has links to Palestine PR and statements via Hamas official channels as sources. The quotes are taken from a Gaza based journalist when links are sourced for quotes they use from citizens. Yes this was in 2013/2014 but they already had a $1 billion a year budget then so it’s a valid comparison. Again nothing they say is really honest ever but at best it’s a lie to inflate the numbers to show how many they are powerful, so realistically they probably steal even all the money they said they used on things anyway. Like the cases of the wages being unpaid. Side note about how you started that sentence btw about the negations proved that: that 2014 house meeting report has a interesting story about a past negotiation: “ I am reminded of a funny story about an important negotiating session with all the Israeli and Palestinian principals attending. One of the Palestinians in the room, who I will not name--I will just refer to him as ``Abu A''-- launched into a furious diatribe about Israeli settlement activity and construction of the security barrier, particularly in and around Jerusalem. After a moment, in response, the Israeli Prime Minister simply and with a mysterious smile asked, ``Are you sure you want to stop all the construction?'' The room was filled with laughter, hardly suppressed, and a lot of snickers.
