It’s interesting because I often hear about those with health anxiety feel the need for assurance by going to the doctor. Mine is the opposite. I’m terrified to go to the doctor just in case they find something😂

I agree. I will not go to doctors to verify anything. I KNOW mine is anxiety it started September of 2022 to be exact due to things... You don't need a clean bill to know once you realize it's anxiety. Yes it's good to check but if your like me you just CANT and won't go to doctors.

This was me, it took me a year of intense anxiety until I finally went to the doctor. Ive been in recovery since shortly after. I never would’ve went if not for my therapist, it was 100% necessary for me to go to get myself out of the anxiety cycle and for the past 3 months my recovery has sky rocketed.

Hello, Shaan. Thank you so much for sharing useful tips, knowledge, and experiences about anxiety recovery. At one time in the last year, dreadful sensations, horrific emotions, and all the other unnecessary anxious what-if thoughts took over my mind and controlled every aspects of me and my life - from behaviors to even my personality! I was so confused and overwhelmed that I couldn't even speak, write, or read things in English at that time. While feeling alone and lost, I got to find your channel and your advice really helped me start my first recovery journey. By the way, even though I'm in the recovery process, some of my symptoms still seem to be lasting longer than I've expected. One of it was that somehow everything I see, hear, taste, or touch felt not only unreal or unsatisfying but also threatening - even to the point where I felt everything seemed 'violent and disgusting.(even when those things were not supposed to seem so)' I sometimes felt like I was living in a scene of some cruel horror movie. When my symptoms were intense, I couldn't enjoy PC games as much as I've used to (because most of them contained combat-related features). Watching anime episodes that covered fierce battle seemed 'frightening' rather than 'exciting.' (I even had more sweats while watching!) I couldn't read news articles(or watch TV news broadcasts) just because they contained worrisome analysis on so many things. When preparing for my family's meal time, just staring at pieces of sliced raw meat felt scary, and after cooking, eating those pieces felt like 'tasting pieces of human flesh' rather than 'having a satisfying cooked meat.' (In case you might get it wrong, I'd like you to know that I never have eaten human flesh, and I will never commit such a crime.) At times I had thoughts like "What if somebody comes to kill or kidnap me?" on a nearby street. At least it's fortunate that I've never had any panic attacks recently. So, I'd like to have some questions: Why do such phobia-like feelings arise even though I haven't had any traumatic experiences? Are anxiety sufferers mentally vulnerable to violent contents in games or movies? What could be the best way to overcome situations where such types of triggers or unpleasant stimuli prevent an individual from enjoying his or her life and hobbies? I would appreciate so much if you can cover this in the next video. Or you can just leave a reply here. thank you.

Don't ignore it or wish it wasn't there, feel it acknowledge & Accept, don't respond so fearful to it don't focus on it or think to "fix" calm it. Feel it, let it be, at the same time refocusing on whatever, letting it go. Let it flow..and just Let go. . Think of it as it called your name waved hi, then you smiled and waved back and continued on. Every single time... BE okay with a little bit of unknown or weird random feelings. it's hard to do and at first feels it's ridiculous to do but I promise it will work. You will get set backs big small and make you think "naw this isnt working " wont work for me, im screwed" Or Talk yourselves back in to the cycle when you are feeling the best you have in days weeks months years. . It takes practice. Putting out the visual flame in a fire doesn't mean its Not burning still.. Then little by little you start to not even notice nor think of the Anxiety and the millions of feelings sensations ect ect, remember every pain, feelins of dizzy balance stuff, stomach, head, neck, eyes, face to toe is All from Anxiety and a sensitive nervous system and mind & body just trying to find baseline ... There is NOTHING "wrong" with you. The feelings are real because of how we are programmed. But this is seriously 200 percent fixable and more simple than we knew once on the other side 😂😊. . . I just told you the key to release your Anxiety suffering.
@4runnerManco
@4runnerManco Ай бұрын
@@Butterflyintheskywhite because it technically is very simple just not easy to do. Not at first. But it becomes easier and starts to make sense.. Your hyperfocus on the feelings and sensations And you telling yourself you want this all to go away and don't want to feel it? You're triggering your fight or flight response to that all and becoming more sensitized. Don't fear it, don't focus on it. Don't fight it, don't try to fix it. Don't get frustrated over it, feel it and accept it. Think of it as it's waving and smiling at you when you feel it. Wave and smile back, let it flow and just let go seriously just let go. . And stop thinking about it or asking yourself inside your head if you feel okay if something is off, what was that ect ect. . Feel it, shake your head to it,.and let go.. it will flow away and burn off. . Your body physically mentally emotionally Will return to baseline and you'll feel normal more and more

Been dealing with anxiety after having a panic attack over a month ago . Shaans videos have helped me understand and improve , but I have setbacks . Good days and bad. One thing that has help aside from coming back to these videos was doing things I didn’t feel like doing . I hope anyone going thru anxiety gets the proper information to heal . It’s difficult to do , it’s a daily reminder , one day I just want the feeling to stop , another I’m enjoying time outside. Any advice ?

@@ME-jf7ho for me it’s all about not being afraid of my symptoms. I no longer give my “symptoms” power and whenever they do come around I just remind myself it’s okay and to not be scared because that’s what triggers it. Good luck

When I refer to "noise" it's just a figure of speech. I'm not referring to actual noise. What I meant to say is that, like a machine -- even when it's working by design, it can still make random noises and still be fine. I dont think I framed it well in the video, but that's what I was referring to.

Or maybe the drs are actually missing things bc they don't want to run more tests & it's easier to call it health anxiety. 21 months, 10 drs and countless tests all telling me I was fine. Finally got the MRI I was begging for and discovered my gallbladder was chronically infected, inflamed and full of sludge. I was incredibly ill and could not just walk it off. Scans and labs are not all "hyper accurate"...there are many imperfect tests. People with health anxiety are not the "only" people who are upset when told everything is ok. Those of us being gaslit & ignored are also incredibly upset when drs dismiss our symptoms. Don't let the drs convince you that you're crazy. You know your body best.
