The accusers were breaking the law. The man and woman who committed adultery must both be sentenced. They only brought the woman. Finally, Jesus has the power to forgive sin.

In Hebrew culture/tradition, writing in the dirt like that, that’s a claim to be God. Like how God wrote the Ten Commandments. He was basically showing the accusers that “I wrote that law.” “I know the law better than you do.” Because there’s another aspect to the law of Moses and it’s really simple. No one can be a witness in a criminal charge if they’re guilty of committing the same offense. That’s why Jesus said, “I’ll give my stone to the first person who tells me, that they have never sinned.” It does not mean that you have to be morally perfect in order to judge someone. That’s how most Gentiles take it. And for what Jesus wrote in the dirt, that’s not the point.

Genesis 1 18 "And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good." The Lord does know what His Right and Left Hands are doing, unlike the people of Nineveh, who at least believed and repented. Jonah 4 11 "And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?"

In the beginning was the word...'the Science'...and the science was with God, and the science was God...and the science of God was the light of the universe. We can rest assured then, if we are following God via the path He has initiated through Jesus Christ, then the great tribulations we are prewarned to expect and which are occurring now will present Revelation to us in a way that can be deciphered by the Bible Student in a righteous way...and any lost will be resurrected when all previous life returns for the great Judgement.

Good day Jason, if you find what's you've found here interesting enough to be in awe, you should study "The Arm of The LORD" & "The Hand of The LORD" ❤ Remember to ask yourself, "can a man SEPERATE his hand or arm from himself ? ". The Lord was NEVER a sales man, he never claimed anything, he shared in many ways that he IS God in the tabernacle of the flesh of man.. Tent of meeting, if you will? Only those who distrust The LORD, say" he claimed".. Remember Luke 24v25❤ Edit Check out Hosea 13v4

To me, it seems like Jesus is writing the 10 commandments in the ground with his finger to show the state of the law or tablets of stone, dust. He is also showing them and us that he is God. He wrote them so the sin is against him. Ex.31:18 & Deu. 9:10. The tablets were broken once when Moses left the mountain, due to sin and they were remade by Moses (John 9:28) which didn't matter, because the law continues to be broken. That's why Jesus wrote on the ground twice. There are no longer any stones left of the law tablets to throw, really. John 8:7 The people heard his words along with his actions. He who has not contributed to this, cast the first stone. The older people broke the law more so they left first. The Woman is a picture of Israel and us. We have been caught in the very act of adultery. Jesus is the only one who can condemn us, and he doesn't. He saves her/us.

🤔 He will "write their names in the earth" and not in the Lamb's book of life. The names written in the earth are what the people may represent as condemned by the Law (i.e. outside of Christ): Thieves, robbers, idolaters, adulterers, hypocrites, haters... ? Or in the Lamb's book of life: humble, sanctified, justified, glorified, holy, perfect, etc. (in YaHusha's holy character)...

Jesus wrote the names of her accusers and their sins they do in private. Jesus wrote their names but each accuser was only able to see his own sins and not anyone else’s sins. That’s why they left and never came back. Blessings Tim Stonerock

I like your perspective, I just want to make sure we’re careful not to make absolute claims about something that isn’t directly stated in the scripture

Great teaching Jason❣️ However, your missing some very poignant "little things", such as when the Hebrew word meanings on "the Graciousness/Goodness of God and the first person singular pronouns when The Good Lord speaks.. We need to remember that our Lord was Hebrew first and foremost, then a Jew who also spoke other languages. ❤

this passage isn't even part of the Bible, it's not supposed to be there.

Jesus writing in the dirt is biblical. Just as the great I AM writing on the wall or our heart and let us not forget the 10 Commandments with HIS finger. According to Jewish law both the man and woman should have been there in front of Jesus. But Jesus knew it was a trap. Because of the sinful Jewish leaders and their followers Jesus wrote their names in the earth. Jeremiah 17 explains this. I hound GOD for answers but I never will know it all. I want to but that’s not written. Been a born again Christian since 1985 and the more I read the less I know. Got a nice show Blessings Tim Stonerock
