Johnny and Daniel both start the series in the same emotional place they left off in the movies. It's been a pleasure to watch them grow up and mellow out (with the help of their wholesome badass big brother Chozen) and become positive examples for their kids and students to follow.

@@cyrbuzz6615 That’s my biggest gripe with him in the last two seasons, 4 and 5. In 4 particularly, despite seemingly putting his past with Johnny behind, he played a huge role in Miyagi Fang splitting because he arrogantly thought that the students should only learn Miyagi Do. In fact, I think he was more to blame for him and Johnny losing than Johnny was in a way.

What I think Cobra Kai is trying to do is turn Johnny Lawrence into Mr Miyagi. This is hinted at by his handyman work and his alcoholism at the start. This would also mean that he loses Carmen and his unborn daughter by the end of the series. Hope I'm wrong about that... but if that's where they're going with it...

My favorite adult character. I also loved him in the KK films over Daniel (which I hate to this day). I think one of the reasons I love him is thanks to his relationship with Miguel Diaz (who is my favorite teen character). Johnny started from a racist, drunk son of you know what and grew to be what he is today.
