It's always depressing hearing how scummy orgs like LiveNation try milk every dime out of artists with sleezy practices. Crazy to think they even reserve rights to even do sales while still pulling all profits from catering, alcohol and such. I remember Jon and Lawrence (the band) talk about it in a video Lawrence released like 9 months ago. They mentioned how they were charged for things like Production Managers that were never actually provided, for 500 bucks a night. Actually criminal.

The irony is that by treating artists that way, people who are due to the space are probably not going to deal with that sort of empty, corporate manipulation well, they are probably harming the ability of artists to create their best stuff. Hard to put effort into something when you know the people who benefit most dont give a rats ass about you or your work.

Been a Jon Bellion fan since 2016 from his song All Time Low & then I went to a 21 Pilots concert in 2017 he opened for in NJ and when I heard his other songs - all creative masterpieces - live, that was it, he’s been on my daily playlist ever since! I’ve been listening to all his music for years on repeat. Can’t wait for new music! Take your time, we’d be waiting & here to support whenever you do.

Wasn’t familiar with this guy at all until seeing this clip. I know thjs much though and that is going forward he’s got a fan in me no matter what he does with his career. You can tell this kid is genuinely a solid good dude and loyal and not a bullshitter with an ego. I look forward to watching the full podcast now and learning more about him and career.

I saw him on the Glory Sound Prep tour in 2019 and towards the end of the show he stopped singing and had a speech about having something you can’t talk about in your life and struggling with it, and making sure to get it out. Now I hear this, and I can’t help but thinking he was talking to himself.

He made beautiful now with Zedd and that song has been with me for the last 10 years I’m 21 and that song has my life support song He does such a beautiful job quite literally and that song means so much to me I hope him and Zedd perform it live again 😢 that’s something I need to experience ❤😊

Listened to Dennis Llyod talk about the same type of stuff! When his hit Nevermind took off and he signed a record deal, he found out these same things. So he bought himself out of his label deal and went on his own too.

He’s such a dope dude. Ran into him at a bar, he paid for my drink and asked about his album and talked to me like a normal person. This was probably around the time he had the human condition out, I’ll never forget it. Such a genuine person and down to earth, I’m beyond glad to hear that he’s got control now and out of that contract. God bless that man ❤

Obviously not. He couldn’t make music for 6 years. But he could support his lifestyle. The money came from writing credits post tour not his music career prior (to my understanding)
