The apostolic gifts are no longer in practice. The most dangerous thing that many of the Pentacostals teach is you don't get the gift of tongues then you are not saved. That's one big lie. They teach you can lose salvation as well. It's a dangerous denomination. The apostolic gifts have ceased. Tongues when it was in practice was always a real language not babble or a prayer language. More lies. The apostolic gifts were in practice at Corinth early in Pauls ministry but faded away when the full canon of scripture was completed. The gifts were only in practice because Jews require a sign. God used apostolic gifts early in the transition period to prove that the teachings were from Christ. Then once the Bible was complete the gifts were no longer necessary. Paul even lost his ability to heal Hey left Trophius sick and told Luke to use wine for his stomach problems. The Bible says those signs would cease and they did. Don't fall for the traditions of men.

And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, he said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. And all the men were about twelve. Acts 19:1-7 KJV

@@rogelioortiz9195 1. He claims that the KJV is the only translation of Romans 3:25 that has "through faith in His blood." That is a lie. 2. He claims the modern versions don't have the word "virgin" in Isaiah 7:14. That is a lie. 3. He misinterprets Psalm 12:6 to claim that God's Word needed to be purified. This is heresy and very close to blasphemy. Psalm 12:6 says that the Words of the Lord ARE flawless. It compares them to refined silver--not to unrefined silver full of impurities. 4. The numerology is a joke. Simple mathematics says that in absolutely any book, the total number of occurrences of nearly one in seven words will be divisible by seven. This isn't divine inspiration. It's very simple math. Notice how he selects only the past tense of a verbs sometimes, or just the present tense but excludes the 3rd person form, or uses and adjective or even the adverbial form. That's what you have to do to make it work. However, if you just start looking up doctrinally significant words, you'll find that most of them don't work. Try faith, hope, love, grace, mercy, peace, heaven, salvation, holy, redeem and redeems, reconcile and reconciles. It works one in seven times in ANY book. 5. He claims that the Epistle Dedicatory in the KJV claims that the King James Bible itself might be "the Wonder of the World." This is a lie. Read it for yourself. It's kissing up to King James the man. 6. PI = 3.1415 Uh... So, why did he choose the book of Exodus? Why not Leviticus or Numbers or Job? Why not all of them? With 66 books, there was a pretty high probability that one would have some theological significant. But, then again, this is true of every version of the Bible--not just the KJV. So, this is stupid. 7. "P" is the middle letter in the word "Scripture." It is the 16th letter in the alphabet, but the 11th if you go backwards. ??? So.... if you combine them, you get 1611. This is nonsense. The letter "K" is the 11th going forward the 16th going backward. So, let's find some word with "K" in it... Knowledge, Kingdom, King James... It's not hard to do this stuff. 8. Gold has the symbol AU. However, if this were written in the Gothic font of the 1611 KJV, it would look like "AV." Then, if you misread this a few centuries later, you might mistakenly see it as "AV" -- not "KJV", but "AV". And then you could mistakenly see this as an abbreviation for "Authorized Version." The nonsense is absurd. So, yeah... really. What he says is full of lies and deceit and nonsense.

William Tyndale was a groundbreaking figure in biblical translation, and his work was pivotal in shaping later English translations of the Bible. Tyndale’s approach to translating the Bible was revolutionary in several ways, particularly because he worked directly from the Greek and Hebrew manuscripts rather than relying solely on the Latin Vulgate, the official Bible of the Roman Catholic Church at the time. Key Points about William Tyndale’s Work: 1. Access to Greek and Hebrew Texts: • Tyndale is best known for being the first to translate the New Testament from Greek into English, using the best manuscripts available to him. At the time, the Latin Vulgate (a 4th-century translation by St. Jerome) was the dominant version of the Bible in the Western Church. • Erasmus’s Greek New Testament (first published in 1516) was one of the critical resources Tyndale used. Erasmus’s text was part of the Textus Receptus tradition, which was an earlier attempt to return to the original Greek manuscripts instead of relying on the Latin. • Tyndale also worked on translating portions of the Old Testament directly from the Hebrew, something that was relatively rare for that era. 2. Tyndale’s Critique of the Latin Vulgate: • Tyndale identified flaws and inaccuracies in the Latin Vulgate, which had been the dominant Bible translation in Western Europe for over a thousand years. • One of his main critiques was that the Latin Vulgate, while widely used, mistranslated key theological terms and led to doctrinal misunderstandings in the Church. For instance: • “Repentance” vs. “Penance”: The Vulgate translated the Greek word metanoia (which means “repentance”) as poenitentia, which refers to “penance,” a sacramental practice in the Catholic Church. Tyndale saw this as a major error and rendered it as “repent” in his translation. • “Congregation” vs. “Church”: Tyndale famously translated the Greek word ekklesia (which means “assembly” or “congregation”) as “congregation” instead of “church,” aiming to reduce the institutional authority of the Church and emphasize the community of believers. 3. Tyndale’s Translational Philosophy: • Tyndale believed that the Bible should be accessible to everyone, especially the common people, not just the clergy or educated elite. This is encapsulated in his famous statement: • “I will cause a boy that driveth the plough to know more of the scripture than the pope.” • His translation aimed to bring the Word of God to ordinary people in plain English, something that was radically different from the Latin Bible, which was only accessible to scholars and clergy. • Tyndale used the original Greek and Hebrew texts as the foundation of his translation, bypassing the Latin entirely when possible. This was a significant departure from previous English translations like Wycliffe’s Bible, which was based on the Latin Vulgate. 4. Theological Repercussions: • Because of the theological accuracy and clarity Tyndale sought in his translation, his work clashed with the Catholic Church’s teachings, which relied heavily on the Latin Vulgate. His translation was seen as a threat to the established authority of the Church because it promoted sola scriptura (the idea that Scripture alone is the basis for Christian doctrine). • Tyndale’s translation emphasized justification by faith, direct access to God, and the importance of the Bible over Church tradition, which resonated with the Protestant Reformation that was sweeping Europe during his lifetime. 5. Impact on Later English Translations: • Tyndale’s work had a profound influence on subsequent English translations, including the King James Version (KJV). It is estimated that about 80% of Tyndale’s New Testament made its way into the KJV, and a significant portion of his Old Testament translation was also used. • His translation choices, like using the word “atonement” to describe the work of Christ, influenced theological language for generations. • Tyndale’s English Bible became the foundation for later translations that relied on the same philosophy: translating directly from the Greek and Hebrew manuscripts to provide an accurate and clear Bible for the common people. 6. Persecution and Martyrdom: • Tyndale’s work was deemed heretical by the Catholic Church, and his efforts to make the Bible available in English led to his arrest and execution. In 1536, Tyndale was strangled and then burned at the stake for translating the Bible into English without the Church’s approval. • His last words were reportedly, “Lord, open the King of England’s eyes,” a prayer that many believe was fulfilled when King Henry VIII authorized the production of the Great Bible in 1539, an English translation largely based on Tyndale’s work. Conclusion: William Tyndale was instrumental in identifying flaws in earlier translations, particularly the Latin Vulgate, and correcting them by using the Greek and Hebrew manuscripts. His translations laid the groundwork for the English Reformation and significantly influenced later translations, including the KJV. By insisting on translating the Bible from the original languages, he helped ensure that subsequent English translations would be more faithful to the original texts, thereby making Scripture more accessible and understandable for ordinary people.

1:27:22 that’s horrible to say. I’ve been ignorantly reading the NIV and I promise I’d never steal your wallet and am not a bad person. Some people just aren’t aware. You shouldn’t act like everyone reading the NIV is a nonbeliever. Most just do not know. I was a Muslim for 30 years. And am now a new Christian. Jesus is in my heart. He is my savior. Trust me there are little debates here and there in every denomination but the majority of Christians taking things to far are KJV only people alot of the time attacking other believers ignorantly not understanding the body of Christ has many members and offices. Don't be mad. We are supposed to judge certain things. 1 Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? The reason he said that is because it is true. If you had never read or heard a King James Bible and claim to be born again then you are. Just of corruptible seed. You just haven't been born again by the Word of God. We are saved by grace through faith. Yor faith has to come from God's true Word. Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. 1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. I'm happy that you see the errors. When you read and believe the True Jesus, it will certainly save you. The devil has children also. Acts 13:10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? These have another Jesus and another gospel and another spirit. This is what you are going to get from the false bibles. 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. I truly pray God brings you out of Babylon. ❤🙏

You must be new to the faith or a Protestant to go after other Christians when you haven't even studied church history I can tell by the way you talk you probably hold to sola scriptura from a 66 book cannon when in in the 3rd-4th century through many ecumenical councils we compiled the cannon which consisted of more than 10 books you read in a KJV...so you can't claim sola scriptura when Protestantism has given birth to SO MANY denominations...study the great schism of 1054 and understand the church that came from Antioch where they were first called Christians stands today as the Orthodox Church and we have an unbroken chain of bishops through apostolic succession going all the way back to Christ and the disciples where a protestant has no authority today to seek tradition cause according to protestants you can start a church whenever you want! One thing KJVOs don't realize about the Septuagint (which was translated about 200 years before the life of Christ, and 1000 years before our oldest surviving copy of the Masoretic Hebrew text) is that the KJV uses the Septuagint's reading on Psalm 22:16 "They pierced my hands and my feet" over the Masoretic's reading "Like a lion [at] my hands and my feet". If the Septuagint is a "septic tank" to you, it contains one of our most powerful witnesses of Jesus in the OT besides Isaiah 53. The Dead Sea Scrolls have the same reading as the Septuagint ("they pierced my hands and feet"), and both are an entire millennium older than the Masoretic Text. The KJV tells us that "at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established." (Deuteronomy 19:15) This means that Erasmus, the person who compiled the Textus Receptus, (and therefore, the Holy Ghost who supposedly inspired the KJV translation effort) considered the Septuagint a faithful witness (and the Masoretes unfaithful witnesses) in this area. Also, many of the other "errors" you mention include the actual readings quoted by the writer of Hebrews which are also different than the Masoretic readings, which is evidence that the Masoretic text was changed to leave out many proof texts for Jesus by the anti-Jesus scribes post crucifixion. The Masoretes were scribes, and they descended from the same scribes that crucified our Lord.
@Robertbreaker314 күн бұрын
The Septuagint has many errors and mistakes. Is it really 200 years before Jesus? Have you even looked into the proof of it, and where it really comes from?
@jlopez4714 күн бұрын
@@Robertbreaker3 Many of the books in the Septuagint that are not in our Old Testament canon have errors, yes, but the 39 are faithful translations into the Greek. The only "error" I am aware of in the 39 is Genesis chapter 11 on the Messianic genealogy up to Abraham which "adds" 100 extra years to several of the patriarchs, and "adds" an extra patriarch. There is evidence that the Masoretes changed this genealogy to argue that Shem is Melchizedek to argue against the better priesthood of Christ. Again, an anti-Christian change.

@@Robertbreaker3dear brother, what the other brother said its true. In the NT usually the writters quote from the Septuagint. If I can I'll share something that is very deep. All Christians who are justified, saved were born again by the King James Bible, even if they were reading a different bible. 1 Peter 1:23 KJV [23] being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. There is only one incorruptible word of God which liveth and abideth forever. That is the King James Bible. All the rest of the modern bibles are corrupt. So all Christians throughout all time were born again by the King James Bible even before and after 1611. The word of God is eternal which means it comes from eternity and then God put it in time and grew it. Started as a seed of Hebrew, grew into Greek and Latin and it matured in English. It was purified 7 times. Thr 7th complete, printed English bible is the 1611 King James.

I am sympathetic to your argument, but you make the claim that the critical text is COMPLETELY different from the TR, and that the new Bible translations all teach COMPLETELY different things...that is simply not true. What you mean is that they are not identical to the KJV, and therefore, because they are not completely the same (using the term complete to mean identical) then they are completely (where you mean identical) different. BUT you don't qualify that this is how you are employing the word completely. I understand what you mean, a perfect ming vase is completely different in category from an otherwise identical ming vase with just one small crack, but to say that in substance, or the authorship, they are completely different is not true. You need to clarify in what sense you are employing these terms. Without qualifying these terms your arguments appear hyperbolic and a little child like. The argument of providential preservation is valid, and once understood dismisses the claims of the other inferior manuscripts, but the arguments for this need to be made accurately and comprehensively.

@@lilydaughterofabba you are correct, the niv renders mono genes as 'one and only Son', why is this translation wrong and 'only begotten' right. Many people are familiar with the words of the hymn 'begotten not created' however these are the words of a hymn, which infuse the English word begotten with meaning it doesn't contain. Begotten is not some unique technical word that means 'not created', or more accurately 'not procreated' In fact, the word is used multiple times in genealogies to mean just that...' Adam procreated Cain' does this mean Cain was begotten by Adam as Jesus is by the Father? Do you believe Jesus was created? I doubt it. Equally 'only begotten' doesn't mean in English 'not created' that is a theological meaning, derived from the CONTEXT, not the literal meaning of those words IN ENGLISH. The phrase 'one and only Son' conveys the same meaning as only begotten because of the same context. The word son in Hebrew and Greek can mean a direct offspring, an indirect offspring (descendant), one in the character of, but not related and as here in John 1, determined by context, 'a relative who shares the same essential nature'. It is this information that helps the english reader establish what John 1 means, not the fact a particular translation uses the word begotten, which doesn't mean in english 'not created but who shares the same nature', it actually just means 'shares the same nature' in this case BECAUSE OF THE CONTEXT. So, why must a Bible translation contain 'only begotten' to be completely true?

@@lilydaughterofabbaMy problem is that he is incorrect about the KJV/NKJV, it is not the best translation. Christian Standard 2017 and English Standard 2001 are much more accurate translations. And he’s ignoring the fact that the KJV has verses that are added and not in the original texts. It also removed verses. So like I said above, this isn’t the hill he should try to die on.

@@joedinofrio8189The Recieved Text is a translation from the KJV back into the Greek. It's a disaster.

“Study” is Elizabethan English, and it means “diligent.” Those who spoke with this type of English understood this. Therefore, the verse is translated in the other translations as “Be diligent to present yourselves…” Moreover, the word “study” is what is called a false friend, meaning the word has a different meaning today than it did when it was used in the KJV.
