Having played Lacrosse it is clear to me that it is one of the greatest games ever created. Why then is the sport not mainstream but rather seen as the niche sport of racist-douche-bag-rich white kids who never take life seriously and are alcoholics in training? Why do blacks stay away from a game that combines all the great things of basketball and football into one?
In this video I explore that question.
A part II may be necessary for a deeper dive. Why is Lacrosse not made available to blacks? Why don't/can't black people shop at whole foods? Why were gamma babies shocked in Brave New World? What opportunities and life paths are certain individuals guided towards & conditioned for & why?

I have a good friend who is first nations. He gets angry every time he hears someone say lacrosse is training for warfare, or that native tribes would settle differences by playing a lacrosse game instead of going to war. He says lacrosse is not training or a substitute for war. It was gift from the creator that was first played by the animals even before there were people. He says that you play to honor (and entertain) the creator and how you play is more important than if you win or lose. It is more important to play with integrity, heart and honest effort than it is to win. He tells me that lacrosse is also played as a medicine game to bring healing to individuals or a community.

Great video. I'm a white private school college player, but I had the privilege to grow up in South Orange, New Jersey which was a very diverse community (especially for lacrosse). It's a tough pill to swallow for a lot of people that there is a cultural and economic discrepancy in the sport. There are a lot of black stars in lacrosse, but they are outliers to the general black population, two of the best black players Jules Heningburg and Trevor Baptiste went to rival private schools in NJ (SHP and MoBeard). Jules even helped coach my town team when we won our state championship. But like me, these guys were lucky enough to have access to the sport and played on Leading Edge and BBL, always had the resources from day 1. Becoming a top D1 commit requires not only natural talent but access to teams at the highest level, private lessons, and paying for the proper exposure at showcases and tournaments, which costs thousands of dollars a day. There are a lot of people out there doing great work for minority communities, Harlem, NCL, etc. We can hope that it'll become more diverse but at the end of the day, it'll always be "the white man's sport" unless there's a cultural shift in America.

Very interesting video. Lots of different perspectives that I’ve never thought of. Some things I disagree with but overall great video

Thank you for video. I would like add, that another difference is there are not a lot of community leagues. In my experience the majority of the playing opportunites are in club lacrosse. Which playing can start at 1000.00. This is just the fee.

The problem with this sport is you can't shoot from deep. That's why Literally ZERO BIG MEN ATTACK MEN/MiDFielders exist Because the Cage is too small and Defensemen aren't made outta paper... I could imagine trying to play tall is exhausting and low-key humiliating
