Which really shows to what extent artists care about their fans, to my pity they only care about commercial success. Gaga was literally bluffin' with her muffin' ha-ha. I think if she wouldn't care about what the label said, ARTPOP'd be truly great from the start. At least for us, monsters.

Considering how much Gaga clashed with Troy Carter over ARTPOP's rollout (let's not forget the Aura/Applause single switch), I get the impression she was tweeting about Venus being a single before it was confirmed with her label and they were not feeling it. They decided to make DWUW an official single because it was selling so well, which shouldn't have been a surprise considering how many people were pre-ordering the album, but that's another topic.

I remember there were leaked shots taken of the Venus video, it was pretty dark themed and looked wild. I remember one picture of her in a huge green slimy bubble and another of a giant seashell around exotic plants. The pictures were later taken down, so im assuming it was legit.

I think I know what pics you are talking about but unfortunately, they were proven to be fake :( There were no leaks from the video or the set. Although, one time Lady Starlight (?) posted a really bright screenshot where you could see Gaga with some man on set. This was thought to be from the music video but no one really talked about it anymore.

It was a difficult time for lady gaga both professional & personal, which made it hard to create the vision she had planned for this album, which is a shame cuz this album was amazing. I just hope she has something planned to celebrate 10 yrs this november
