Jaden Springer is a defensive guard & is only 22 years old. He's already been waived by Houston after he was traded there by Boston, so he's available now. I would particularly enjoy the idea of the Lakers developing a guy who was dumped by Boston in a salary dump, & turning him into a useful role player who helps LA win...

He actually played well in Memphis and the Suns. A defensive guard. Pretty sure lakers are getting all defensive minded guards or forwards. I do think we need one more defensive forward or guard for insurance. Everyone is saying to wave Wood, but I think Lakers are hopefully he can be back after all star break. If Wood is back, that will open up things for Luka even more.

Defensively he chases over screens, switches to multiple ball handlers, uses his quick hands to cause deflections, and does a good job staying with quick ball handlers. Would like to see JJ play a Goodwin, DFS, Vando, Williams line up Offensively decent shooter. Not super athletic, but can provide a scoring option for the backcourt. I like that he's willing to go get rebounds on offense, create second chance points. JJ needs to find some minutes for Goodwin.

@@kbhuff8 Idk if he will get bought out/waived but I think it's a possibility because he's on an expiring minimum contract (unrestricted free agent this Summer) and is 31 years old on a tanking squad. Because his contract is so small the process would be relatively simple and the Pelicans also might be able to save a very small amount of money.
