Baltimore doesn't need to tear down their players; Lamar is statistically superior. Buffalo has no case, so they create abstract arguments to say "Allen does more with less" even though his defense through 16 games had the most turnovers forced, he has a fantastic O line (top-3 IMO), and a RB that won their team multiple games. Lamar is just better, and he has carried a team that performed, overall, FAR worse than Buffalo through 11 weeks. Lamar kept them afloat and just continued to shred every single team he faced, with three new OL in front of him and a new (FANTASTIC) RB in the backfield.
@josephcorbridge5421
@josephcorbridge5421 16 күн бұрын
If you wanna talk about RB's leading to wins, here are the numbers: Lamar was 2-5 when Henry had less than 90 yards and 10-0 when he had more than 90. Allen was 9-3 when Cook didn't get 90 yards. You tell me whose RB's carried the team in stretches?
@mattcannon7334
@mattcannon7334 16 күн бұрын
@josephcorbridge5421 you're making my point. Instead of making an Allen-vs- Lamar debate. I'll point to historic numbers from Lamar. Henry is the closer, he's fantastic. Other than the Buffalo game, his big runs are generally in the second half when Baltimore is up. Lamar has fourth highest passer rating in nfl history, Baltimore had third highest ever yards per play, Lamar best ever td-int ratio (over 30 td passes), best yards per pass in league, best yards per carry in league. Through week 15, Bills fans were hanging onto QBR. Who ledat year-end? Lamar. Just looking for the statistic argument for Allen. Buffalo was better through the course of the season, Lamar was historic all year.

Yes, Baltimore lost its whole defensive staff, four key contributors on defense, their whole rb room and 60% of their ol room. What's crazy is, they were 12-5 and were a historic offense. It's been fun to watch, and Lamar is by FAR the best player in the league. A Buffalo fan calling Lamar a stat padder is crazy work. You've obviously not paid attention to their games LOL

Bro why does nobody bring up the fact that the bills played TERRIBLE competition this season. I understand they beat the chiefs and Lions but they went 2-3 against playoff teams this year. That means 11 out of their 13 wins were against teams that were not in the playoffs. The ravens were 7-3 against playoff teams so not only was Lamar better but he was putting up these numbers against better competition. The only reason Josh Allen was able to do what he did with the “lack of help” that he had is because they were playing bad teams all year. I wonder what Lamar’s stats/wins would’ve been if he had the bills schedule

If you look at the whole season, Josh Allen was there as the guy from week 1. The reality was that Allen was already the MVP candidate leader going into the KC game and every said "well this stretch is going to determine the MVP". He played absolute insane football against KC, SF, LA, DET. Jackson was up and down a little which is when Barkley started to get some traction. Allen's offense is the highest scoring Buffalo Bills team ever He tied an NFL record for most consecutive 30+ point games and did that in 12/16 games We was consistently tearing it up and leading this team all year and he didn't have 8 other pro bowl players to help.

Allen also has averaged around 5000 total yards of offense, 44TD, highest scoring offense in the NFL and second most in wins. Oh and he has accounted for over 80% of the scoring in that time which is also 1st. And guess what? No MVP's. Every season from 2020-2023, Allen had better stats. As an observer of Buffalo being someone from Western NY, this is Josh's best season thus far. The biggest issue is this seems like the first season where he actually took being QB seriously in the off-season. It shows in his lowest turnover numbers of his career. I would like to see him show consistency mentally before just handing him the MVP over someone who played much better than him. Hopefully he can prove it again next season.

@ so defensive injuries were why the perfectly healthy offense put up 10 points on the worst defense in the NFL at that point in the season? Or are you arguing the offense that averaged over 30+ the entire season would have not scored 30 that one particular game if some average defensive players were playing? We’re definitely not going to call them great because Bills fans were very quick to boast how little pro-bowlers Josh Allen had to rely on his team. They were going to be the ones to make a difference against the best rushing offense in the NFL? The Ravens dominated better run defenses like the Steelers and Broncos. The Bills even fully healthy weren’t going to be different and you’re lying to yourself if you think otherwise. Bills fans claim the Ravens have a better roster (as a knock on Lamar), and they’re absolutely right. The Ravens are better.

Both Lamar and Josh have had great seasons. For those saying it is "not even close" all I can figure is they have not seen any Bills games. Allen has hit over a dozen NFL milestones this year that nobody has ever hit before. You just need to watch some games to see the way he extends almost every passing play. It's unique. Watch him change receiver's routes while they are running them. It's amazing. He IS the Bills offense. That is not a knock on Lamar's greatness at all. It's just Allen is doing something thus year the league has never seen before. Lamar's performance has been great. Josh's has been singular. The voters watch all the games. Allen will win.

I don't have them all, but here's what I do have. Remember, he doesn't have any other star players, not even a 1000 yard receiver. And people forget that he didn't get Cooper until week 7 and he was out with injury along with Coleman and Kincaid....and Allen had a broken hand. He still did all the following regardless which is absolutely what an MVP does... 4th QB all time to have 13+wins, 40+TD, and fewer than 10 interceptions 1st QB in NFL history to record multi pass TD, Multi Rushing TD, 350+ passing yards and 60+ rushing in a game 1st player all time to record multiple rushing and passing TD's in consecutive games 1st player to have multi rushing and passing TDs 3 times in a season 1st QB with a rushing, passing, and receiving TD in a game 1st player to have 3 passing TD and 3 rushing TD in a game 1st QB with 6+ rushing TD in 7 consecutive seasons NFL record 5th consecutive 40+TD season (next closest is 3 years) Only QB to ever beat 2 14 win clubs in a season (which ended up being 15 win clubs) Tied NFL record with 8 consecutive 30+ point games 12/16 games over 30 points (record is 13, but Allen sat 13 quarters) Tied Most wins in Buffalo Bills history Highest scoring Buffalo Bills team in history Fastest team to win division this season 8-0 at home Touchdowns to 12 different receivers. Most fantasy football points ever by a QB in a game Most fantasy points ever by a player in 2 consecutive weeks.

Some of the more historical stuff was other things like having the most total yards, wins, touchdowns in his first 7 years. He actually owns the first 8 year record for TD and hasn't played that season yet. Again, if Jackson somehow won MVP over him last season and stats weren't an issue when Allen was for more productive, than the small difference in stats this season and the clear narrative in Josh's favor should make it pretty clear who deserves it this year. And it's Allen.
@STEALTTH7
@STEALTTH7 15 күн бұрын
What determines most VALUABLE player. Start there. Because Allen was better last year by A LOT statistically. So why did Jackson win last year. Anyway.... At the end of 16 games after Josh Allen was allowed to rest for week 17: Allen: 41TD, 8 Turnovers, 13 wins, 77.2 QBR, 1 other pro bowl player Jackson 43TD, 9 turnovers, 11 wins, 77.5 QBR, 8 other pro bowl players The Buffalo Bills were supposed to be a team that regressed. Window closed, missed the playoffs, The Ravens got a nearly 2000 yard MVP caliber running back and were supposed to contend for the Superbowl. Allen was consistent all season long and was always an MVP favorite. Lamar Jackson had some ups and downs and when he was down a little, the conversation moved to Barkley. Then Jackson put up 5TD vs the Giants and suddenly we forgot about what Allen did to KC, SF, LA, DET. The Buffalo Bills, with their all new receiving crew (except 1) and the Bills offense tied an NFL record with 8 straight 30+ point games. Allen put up over 30 points in 12/16 games. The NFL record is 13. It was the highest scoring Bills team of all time. They tied a franchise record for wins despite the team losing all of their captains and many key guys on defense, and it showed. Allen set somewhere near 20 records this season (Game, season, historical) Last season, Allen led the NFL in total yards, total TD (15 more than Jackson), was 3rd in QBR (even with the Ints, was better than lamar). He accounted for 86% of his teams scoring where Lamar was at 53%. These are the same 2 guys we talked about last season. Stats didn’t win Allen an MVP last season and I’m still not sure what narrative supported Jackson’s MVP. And Josh Allen has averaged around 5000 yards and 44TD in his previous 4 seasons while accounting for the highest scoring offense in the NFL, 2nd most in wins and highest percentage of his teams scoring at over 80% and never got an MVP. Now because Jackson matched his numbers he HAS to be MVP? We need to stop the nonsense here. Josh Allen is your 2024 MVP.

Here's a great video showcasing Allen making impressive plays in big moments game in and game out. Lamar's highlight reel and narrative this season (despite his excellent stats which are now finally at Josh Allen level) are not as impressive as MVP candidates go. If you give Lamar Jackson MVP last season based soley on narrative when Allens stats were significantly better, and then flip it around the following season and say "oh just kidding, its now all about stats" you discredit the MVP award that he Jackson won. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2i3aYOHjJ14pcU
