Thanks for covering my favorite game of all time! Truly a game underapreciated, ahead of it's time, and full of love from it's creators. The atmosphere, world building, story, exploration are all amazing. I still think it's crazy that there's *SO MUCH* of this game that is entirely optional and requires the player to look at the environment and remember clues, I mean most people had no idea that the Human Citatdel even existed. It also reminds me of From Software's design of maps, where so many of the areas loop back around to each other once you've aquired the abilities to traverse the obstacles. Great video! ✌️💜

Last of Us, red dead series, silent hill 1 and 2. Bio shock, final fantasy VI, fire watch, outer wilds, Nier automata. Theres plenty of good narrative games. But only a few that were made before companies started to throw money bags to the writing department.

I first played the LoK series when I was 13 years old (so just like you). I'm actually replaying the first Soul Reaver game now, I'm about to enter the silenced cathedral. The game definitely holds up imo and I can't wait to play SR2 and Blood Omen games again since I barely remember them. Anyway games like LoK are very rare these days. Almost every modern AAA title is injected with some pseudo intellectual agenda that makes me wanna puke. Social media are destroying gaming as a medium. Modern western developers can suck a fat one, they destroy everything they touch with their cancerous woke propaganda.

It's not the "Soul Reaver" series. It's the Legacy of Kain series. It started with Blood Omen 1. A ton of people vastly prefer Kain as a protagonist over Raziel.

I love Raziel more as a character than Kain. Lore wise I do agree Kain sounds more interesting, but it's because he had more time to develop.
