The s2 finale is extremely taken for granted which is ashamed because I find it to be the perfect culmination of the original ninjago run. Fans nowadays don’t talk about the moody atmosphere, the immense tension, the large scale and stakes, the numerous character payoffs or full circle moments, etc I think the final battle itself is so underrated. While I like the typical choreographed action fights that modern fans are used to seeing in current seasons, I love how this battle really sets itself apart because it’s a visually unique fight that’s meant to symbolize the battle between light and dark with the overlord attempting to overwhelm Lloyd’s golden power. Also even if it isn’t the conventional fight that fans nowadays wish it was, it’s still very satisfying because it’s very dramatic, puts me on the edge of my seat, and leaves me with goosebumps because it’s very epic and grand in scale This finale is incredible and no one will convince me otherwise.

I completely agree, sure the exaggerated fight scenes we get now are choreographed perfectly but this fight was atmospherically and tonally perfect in every aspect, it truly is on the level of epic mythology and legend. This episode was highly praised when it came out but sadly these days it's sorely unappreciated!

In season 1, Wu stated that an elemental Master only unlocks their true potential once all the obstacles in their heart holding them back have been abolished. I like to think that when Lloyd was standing atop the tower at the center of the city in front of the overlord, he felt all of ninjago's hearts beating as one, knowing that everyone believed in him and was counting on him, giving him a feeling of power that wiped out all his emotional obstacles in one fell swoop, causing his true potential to unlock.

Fantastic video my guy. You couldn’t have explained it better than myself. I don’t understand why this episode has been getting a lot of hate recently, but I don’t care what the haters have to say. Rise of the Spinjitzu Master will always be my favorite Ninjago finale. While the Stone Warriors were wasted and the fight between Lloyd and the Overlord could’ve been a lot longer, I’m still happy with what we got. Definitely a Masterpiece, and very nostalgic to.

Ya so many ppl hating the finale jus cuz it won that best episode in ninjago poll by the toasted sandwich dude😂. S2's finale is just the definition of epicness. the scenery and shit and it's just so hype. It's at the very very worst a top 3 or 2 finale in the whole show and imo it's definitely the best episode from s1-7. People just need to stop yapping and watch season 2 again and the final battle again themselves to realize how epic the final battle was🤣

It's so interesting to see how much the shows we watch in our childhood have raised us both artistically and figuratively, and I got to say Ninjago is one of them. I can't believe it raised me till the beginning of my college yrs. Like as a child I was legit hyper fixated on this show. I legit watched the series till the crystallized season. I love how it grows with its audience and the music scores r amazing. I can legit binge watch all the seasons without hesitation, and rewatch it all over and over again and currently am. I remember the scenes, the music, and lines of eps like I was 12yrs old again.

I know what you mean I was super obsessed with this show when I was a kid and I guess you can say a handful of years ago I became a born again Ninjago fan, although the show never really left me. There's something so magical and engaging about the world of Ninjago that's why it's so popular! I do think it is a really well crafted show and I myself could also watch it from beginning to end no problem. I remember so much from the show in my head I could do an entire review of the show without having to rewatch a single episode!

Hardly anything can even be considered good, Ninjago is just a kid's show meant to promote lego toys, it was never meant to tell an epic story. I recently (re)watched the first 76 episodes, but I just couldn't finish the 8th season. The entire show is so extremely mediocre at best, and every season feels like I'm watching the same one. There are a lot of cliché's, writing mistakes, and tons upon tons of retcons. Ninjago is only good in the eyes of a child, and while they are the target audience, they also have no standards. I too remember watching the show as a kid, but when I rewatched the final battle for example, it was really dissapointing. Many scenes are similar, they fail to achieve any impact, most of the times because they are cut short, or make no sense in the first place story-wise :D I believe that the large majority of the Ninjago fandom doesn't comprehend the amount of flaws in this show, they notice some but fail to see the bigger picture. (like how they focus on the love triangle in the 3rd season, while its by far not the worst thing in it)

@@JohnRengo-h4w I dont really agree with your take that Ninjago was never good. It that were the case, it would have been killed of like many other LEGO Shows before and after it. A show being a toy commercial makes doesn't makes it inherently bad- otherwise most media nowadays would be bad. Yeah, Ninjago might be a Toy Commercial, but its good. You cant call a show bad if you only seen 7 out of 15 Seasons. Seasons like 1, 4 and 5 are very beloved by many. Season 8 is easily the best Season of the show, and the Seasons following it are great too. Its a shame you stoped before it. Ninjago isnt just good in the eye of a child, otherwise it wouldn't be so popular amongst older Fans. It has loveble Characters and a massive Lore and Storys for people to dive into. You can relate to atleast one of the Ninja. And I dont know how you can say "Every Season feels the same", because every single Season is completely different. From the tone and theme. You have goofier Seasons like Season 1,2,7 and 11. You have more serious Seasons like Season 8,9,10 and 15, and just regular toned Seasons. Each Season also focuses on another Character, really fleshing them out. Even the villains are all different. Ghost, Pirates, Lava Snakes, Oni, Crystal Soldiers, Robots- just to name a few. It has something for everyone. They are all different. While some feel similar to previous Villains, they are all distinct.
@JohnRengo-h4w Жыл бұрын
@@MagicPotato06 Its not mediocre because it was meant to be a toy commercial, but because they didn't want to do more with it. I believe Ninjago had the potential to be a great story, and the writers could have done it (maybe), but I don't believe they tried hard :D As I said, I rewatched the first 76 episodes, but I've also seen the seasons 9-11, and thats all I need. Ninjago has an extremely repetitive formula, basically if you watch one season, you've already seen the other ones too. There are just too many clichés in the show for that to not be the case. This is why I said I stopped finishing season 8, it was already obvious how it would end. Both the main characters and villains are silly, its just bad writing. This is why I believe the writers didn't try, as there are so many extremely silly examples of writing, they definetly understood. Look at how Cole becomes a ghost in season 5, just for a single example. He randomly drops the scroll, for literally no reason, and therefore can't make it out in time. This is not only a nonsensical, intentionally fabricated scene, but ultimately has no impact on the show either, because one, it will be reversed, and two, the writers don't do anything interesting with it either. It is loved by older fans, but age doesn't matter as much as you think. Even a 40 year old person can be extremely immature, and older people can have low standards too. Look at the owner of this channel for example, I wrote a comment just like this under another video of his with another account, and he permabanned me from the channel. Not because I insulted him, but because I wrote down something bad about his favourite show, and he took it personally. And he is older than me by 1 year. Now, is that something a mature person would do? Of course not :D Truth is, I can't say anything else. This show is just a mediocre silly kid's cartoon, because it has so many flaws I literally can't count them. And the goods are barely present, the only scene I could realistically say was any good is the very end of season 3, because it had a setup and a logical explanation. I can't explain it any better, and if you don't have a keen eye for these mistakes, you will never see it this way. And that is completely fine, however if you truly love something, you should also accept all of its flaws as well, and not give it praise it doesn't deserve

@@JohnRengo-h4w I still don't understand how you can say all Seasons feel the same. Almost every Season feels different in tone. Season like 5, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14 and 15 are all different from their tone and Villains. Some Seasons end on a happy ending, some end sad. Season 8 and 14 being the biggest examples of that. Season 8 ends with the Ninja getting defeated and th Villain ruling other Ninjago! That has never been done before! Season 14 ends with Nyas sacrificing herself to safe the city, wich was completely different from what came before. The main characters and Villains being "silly" is factually untrue. The Ninja for example all have their unique personality sich differs from the others. They may act silly at times, but it's not like they ONLY act silly. Jay was the comic relief from the earlier Seasons, always saying something to try to make you laugh. The others meanwhile had their occasional funny moments, but they couldn't be called "silly". They got more silly in the newer Seasons, but they are not there *just* to be silly. They have their story's and their character traits. Now, the Villains. Some of them are a bit silly, for example Aspherra, Garmadon in Seasons 1-2, Chen, and Kalmaar. But they are not ONLY silly. They may act like that at times, but it's not like it's their whole personality. All of them seem simple on the surface but are more complex once you read into them. Let's look at other Villains. Samukai, Pythor, Omega, Skull Sorcerer, Overlord Harumi and many others. You can't look at them and say "they are just silly". Let's look at Harumi for example. She lost her parents when the Great Devaour attacked the city in Season 1, wich further empathizes the stakes in the show. Stuff that happens has consequences. Harumis goes on to bomb a Royal Palace, crashes the Destinys Bounty with an attempt to kill the Ninja, orders a Guy to beat Zane to near death, performs a demonic ritual and rule other the city, naming just a few. She is NOT silly, she is just evil. She doesn't make a single joke throughout the entire Season. And she is not the only villain like that. Or Kalmaar from Season 14. He lives under the Sea and feels discriminated by the Land livers, so he kills the King of his city, HIS FATHER, takes on the throne and plans to drown Ninjago City. He isn't just silly. Chen from Season 4 has a whole backstory with Garmadon and how he is the reason why the Serpentine War started. He manipulated Garmadon and the others, forcing them to fight each other. Not all villains are "silly". Some are insane People who want to watch the world burn. Some act silly at times. But they are not there just to be silly. Those two are not the only examples, but they are the most notible ones. Saying to the writers "didn't try" while writing the show is just untrue. They have proven us many times that they can write seamingly simple story's with depper meanings behind them, where our Ninja develop. They've touched on many serious topics within the show. They really tried to tell something great that also teaches us valuable lessons. They clearly put a lot effort into the it. And let's yet again look at Season 8 for example: Lloyd, the optimistic Ninja in the group gets emotionaly manipulated by the Villain who acts like they're in a relationship, only to get betrayed and imprisoned, wich drasticly changes how he sees others. Season 13 explores Coles character and his relationship with his deceased Mother in the form of an emotional rollercoaster throughout dungeons. Nya gets a whole story for herself in wich she explores her elemental and herself. Zane had his story about being a Robot, and how it affects and changes him in Season 1 and Season 3. Jay has his story in Season 6 with Nya wich changes how he looks at her. These are only examples, there are more of these. All of the Ninja have a focused Story wich explores these characters and changes them. Seasons 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14 being examples. Now, It's not like I just ignore the flaws the show has. If something is bad, I critique it. Just like other Ninjago Fans. We don't just consume everything and call it "good". No, otherwise there wouldn't be hated Seasons or Characters. We critique things in the show if they are bad. There are multiple Videos on this platform regarding bad Ninjago Content. We are not blinded or something like that. As I said, if they show was just "mediocre" it wouldn't have last up until now. You know Lego, if something is just barely good, they cancel it. Chima, Nexo Knights, Hidden Side- they do that. Ninjago has to do *something* good to warrant 12 years of existence. I can understand if you don't like the show, that's fine. I don't have a problem with that. I just wanted to share my opinion on that topic you provided.

It’s not a masterpiece. It’s a rushed polished turd that didn’t feel worth the 6 filler episodes.
