I miss my leo. She lived to be about 16 by my estimation, I adopted her at around age 12 or so. Her previous owner had her since she was young and had unfortunately not had a light cycle for her - her light was on 24/7. Idk how basic of a care mistake like this could happen, but she was essentially blind when I got her. She had trouble eating and bumping into things. I immediately put her on a light cycle and she seemed to slowly regain her sight and was a voracious eater after just a few months. I hope I can get another leo soon !!

If you grab him, he gets crushed, if you barely brush him, he yeet onto the floor. There is no calm, even if he is calm he will want to touch everything. Leopard geckos, no thoughts, head empty. Yea, I love corn snakes due to how intelligent they are, more so than something like a milk snake or a hognose snake. My corn snake is only a year old, and she shows signs of intelligence, when ever I’m done feeding her, she always looks at me expecting me to feed her more, she’s never displayed defensive behavior, not even once, and when she bit me one time when I put my hand in the enclosure while two pinkie mice were in it, she immediately knew what she bit and let go.

I got a leopard gecko just over 2 years ago as my first exotic pet and even to this day he's still my best behaved, easiest and funnest pet to be around. He's so docile and chill and just a pleasant animal to be around and eats well, poops well and doesn't require a huge amount of care unlike my other pets

One time when I was holding my leopard gecko he fell off of my shoulder, used his tail as a hook, hooked his tail onto my wrist and then crawled up my arm like nothing happened.

God, I would rather get bit by a leopard gecko than my bearded dragon Keewee. She bit me once because she fell asleep while we were watching a movie and she tore off a chunk of my thumb. not just the skin either. Istg I live beardies but I hate it when they bite you.

I've never gotten bit on skin by mine but when I was feeding her blueberries by hand and some blueberry juice got into my nail turning it purple, she bit my nail and would not let go! I was very surprised bc she never did that before and it was actually pretty strong. Now I dont feed her with my fingers anymore learned my lesson.

I used to have 5, from my experience they do well solitary, but it was so cute to see my 3 females hide right next to eachother, occasionally 'cuddling" if you will. They seemed to really like each others' company. Keep in mind I never saw territorial aggression, and I wouldn't say that all leos are the same in that regard.

I have a decent reptile collection and leopard geckos are the only species I keep three of. Two were rehomed to me from bad circumstances. I enjoy them. I can see myself taking in more as rehomes.

Great video, I was looking forward to another dedicated leo vid. I watched all your videos on them when I first got mine, 2 years later she's still happy and healthy.

I have a leopard gecko. She is about 7 months old. I think she is a fantastic pet. She is easy. I love having her. I agree.

I have two female leos in the same tank and they’ve been doing great housed together. The one complication I’ve had was during feeding time and they’d get sassy. But that was an easy and quick thing to fix, since you just feed them outside of the tank separately :) some good gals

I remember one day when I was like 8 or something, I got a new pet leapord gecko. At that time, there wasn’t any care videos on yt or anything, and so I put him in a bug box in my back pack and decided to show all my friends him at school. They were pretty amazed. We went to show the teacher, she called my dad and took the gecko back home. I miss that little gecko, his name was nacho (as in the food, not nacho libre) I lost him three years ago

Today i got mine back from reptile clinic. I bought her a week ago from a monster (previous owner). She was 10 years without calcium, multiple stucked sheds, MBD, shaking. Unfortunately she suffered an amputation of several fingers. She is in her new big and nice home ATM, eating (only from syring), but she is getting a lot better. Wish her the best. I will do whatever i can to make her happy.

Same. Almost 15 years strong. Besides a sulcata tortoise I had for over a decade that I bought high speed internet days (dsl). Guy at the pet store said just put a light for heat and feed lettuce. Poor tortoise. As u can imagine the shell did not form properly at all. Now he's living in a farm with other animals and proper food at least.

As cute as they look, they're not exactly the most interesting reptile you can own, imo at least. Most of the time, it honestly just looks like not all of the lights are on upstairs. Guess I'm more of a Monitor kind of guy.

@@bengalboypaco7327 Aye, so do monitors to be fair. They're powerful little guys that requires a lot of time and respect to tame as well.

I just got a Leopard Gecko about a week ago, and I love him so much! He is my first reptile ever, and I'm having a blast with him. I have to say, the best thing I have done for him so far is getting a ceramic heat emitter. Since getting it, the warm side of the tank stays at 90°, and my little guy is 100% more active. I have a 20 long and keep the heat emitter about 6" from the top of the tank.

I have 2 crested geckos and want to get a leopard gecko this year. I've been researching on youtube for their care and love your videos on them. I think the only thing I'm concerned with is feeding just insects and learning to keep feeders, and making sure they have enough calcium, not too much, etc.
@TraciKReacts3 жыл бұрын
@@nightinggale6470 no, I don't see the purpose in it unless temporarily for breeding. I'm sure some people have had success cohabbing but I don't risk it.
