Why LFEQ?

Why do we need the LFEQ in additional to the TX FFE, RX CTLE & RX DFE?

Thanks always for providing great lectures. How about adding a passive CTLE in series with the conventional source degenerative CTLE ? The passive CTLE can act as the low frequency EQ
