Hello Jacques.Not sure if you are aware but I would like to know if in the event an EU citizen were to set up a business there(that would initially generate at least 2 full time jobs for locals), does that entitle the investor and his wife to apply for a temporary work permit?(I understand this needs to be annually renewed for 5 years and then one can apply for permanent residency)Nature of intended business: Farming/Manufacturing approximate initial investment amount:$500k I`ve been to some of the major islands 3 years ago and wanted to go again this year but due to virus it needs to be postponed.Merci

Dear Barnabas, you and your can have/ own a business here and working here. And you can come here the border are open .. you have to a négatif Covid 19 test of max 72 h before you board in the flight. Than when you arrive you’ll get an envelope with a self test to do 4 days after you arrival. All the islands in the pacific have been created by an Europ toon on lava … but couldn’t not found on Wikipedia any information about the last one there .. What I can assure you is that since I live here 1989 nothing happen in all the 118 island of French Polynesia Bors bora included

What ever you own outside of French Polynesia is not taxed here. The internet is ok and improving we have in Tahiti 30 Gb speed

You need to have a European nationality to live here permanently. But as foreigners you’ll have a 3 months visa any time you come .
