@@justanomorifan3059It is most commonly diagnosed in adults, but the symptoms tend to develop in your teenage years. Most don’t want to diagnose teenagers with personality disorders as there’s a lot of hormonal/mood/personality changes within them and it’s kind of just depending on the severity of symptoms and the doctors people are seeing. It’s also a little hard for people to determine when exactly it develops in THEMSELVES because there’s still a large stigma around all personality disorders (even within medical spaces) and people are either not believed or shamed for having symptoms associated with them.

Edit: On a more serious note as someone interested in psychology i always read about different people’s experiences with certain mental disorders/illnesses and everything ive seen on BPD is really heavy. Being in a constant fear of lashing out and not being able to control your emotions versus feeling completely empty and depressed at certain times makes the life of any individual struggling with BPD extremely difficult.

As a psychologist, I have come across several people with this disorder. It is incredibly interesting like you say it is. However, there are many more mental conditions I personally find more interesting such as BPD which is a lot like Bipolar disorder in many ways, but has an extra layer of "depth" to it.

This song isn't actually about a specific disorder according to Crusher. Just mental health in general. It can thus be interpreted to fit any condition it needs to. I have BPD. And yes, the lyrics are very accurate. I think the better description of this mental condition is: "having an eternal war against yourself". As the lyrics says "My enemy's invisible, I don't know how to fight. The trembling fear is more than I can take, When I'm up against, The echo in the mirror" Crusher-P has another song called "Again" (with the voice of Gumi, by the way) that describes BPD even better, or at least, describes Better how it feels for me to live with this personality disorder. I highly recommend you to check out that song too :)
@pipaliveshere10 ай бұрын
tbh echo also speaks to me as someone who deals with depression. depression makes your brain see everything as hopeless. you cant seem to find anything good to make the black that you life seem to be a little grayer, you cant see an escape for yourself besides you know. running away. burning your house down. as in killing yourself(i deal with frequent suicidal thoughts as well). you also stop seeing all the colors others see, everything is... bleak. meaningless. i also used to think i might have bpd but turns out depression can also result in impulsive decisions and a lot of pent up anger, irritation etc etc. back when i was young id listen to this song a lot and back then i wasnt diagnosed with depression officially but i found myself in the lyrics. also the song just objectively slaps lol. vocaloid is such an amazing tool to create songs like these that expalin experiences with mental illnesses so personally, it hits home very close and is comforting in a way. man vocaloid is great.

As someone with BPD, I can say it's very hard to deal with it due to how much tiny things can make you spiral and overthink it as if someone was "betraying you", and the aftermath also hurts cause you know it's you doing this to yourself but you can't stop it. This song and "Again" made by the same producer always gave me BPD vibes even before I knew I had it! I'm happy you touched the topic the way you did cause it's easy for people to end up talking about BPD as if people with it were horrible or "doing it on purpose" :)

FIRST OFF, thank you so much for explaining it in an empathetic and understanding way. i keep seeing people demonize bpd, and it hurts so much because we're really trying our hardest. it's so hard to manage the insane amount of emotions we feel every single day anyways, as someone who has bpd, i think this song represents it well. it's really hard because there's no in between. it's either i hate you or i love you, or I think someone hates me or loves me. it's very difficult to navigate when no one tells you what's wrong, but you're feeling all of these confusing emotions. It switches so fast too, it can be hours or even minutes in between. i think the bridge shows off the abandonment issues and impulsivity that comes with bpd. "im gonna burn my house down" impulsivity (sometimes dangerous) is definitely a symptom "i'm gonna run away now and never look back" there's a side of abandonment issues that isn't clingy, rather pushes everyone when they get too close. (that's what I have) I think they can also work together, maybe the house representing a relationship of some kind. I can't believe i never noticed 😭

My ex was recently diagnosed with Bipolar. I was with him for about three years and man what a time. We didn't know he had it. After trying to help him and have him realize that he needed to seek help at the time, I came to realize that he just did not care enough to do so. If he had sought help and taken me seriously I do believe we would still be together. But because he didn't take me serious enough to get help (I was 100% willing to go with him to make him comfortable) one thing led to another and the situation became dangerous. Yes diseases like this can become very serious, but ultimately the person needs to be willing to make an effort, and I get that it can be scary to do so, and as I personally don't have this I don't truly know what it is like, but effort needs to come from both people. Stay safe out there guys and dont be ashamed to seek help when you need it. It just makes you a very commendable person.

@catonyoutoob10 ай бұрын
It’s not bad for you, but for them it’s hell. It really bothers me when people only talk about how they’re the victim of someone with bpd, not realizing that it’s considered the most painful mental illness because we feel every emotion so intensely, and they switch up so fast. I can never trust myself, and if it’s bad, I forget that happiness is even an emotion i can feel. I forget every emotion but the one I’m currently experiencing, so I never even know if I’m getting better or not. When im happy, i question if im even mentally ill, but when something triggers me, it’s so horrific because I feel like it’ll be that way forever and I’ll never feel happy again. When I was doing research on BPD when I was first diagnosed, I found r/bpdlovedones and it only reinforced my fears that I’m actually evil and abusive for my disorder, despite the fact it’s 100x harder to live with than to deal with secondhand. You can leave your friend alone whenever, but they will be stuck with their own mind 24/7 for the rest of their life. It’s horrifying, and I’m not saying you shouldn’t talk about your own experience, but please understand this disorder IS “that bad”, even if your friend keeps it to themself mostly, like I do as well except for occasionally lashing out (which leads to severe shame spirals for a lot of us). 1 in 5 people with BPD attempt suicide, and 1 in every 10 people with bpd die by suicide.

Alright, before I go in deep, please give credit to CircusP for the tuning of Gumi! Circus and Crusher used to work together on songs before they had a falling out and I feel like Circus never gets recognition for helping with Echo! I am not diagnosed but I’ve been highly suspecting myself of BPD and I honestly completely relate to the song. I have a hard time making friendships because I perceive myself as a bad person for having such “black and white” mindsets. One minute I can be enamored by someone in my life and the next I was to call them out for all their bullshit. It’s characterized by intense changes in emotion that are felt to an extreme degree which makes it hard for people to control their actions. It makes it very difficult, especially when I get attached to others because I’m very bad at hiding my behaviors that I feel selfish. I feel like a bad person for even having emotions like this and I’ve pushed people out of my life because of it. It’s gotten worse over the year, like im so infatuated with people that I fell in love with my close friend of only a few months! Whether I have it or not, I’ve read up on people’s experience with BPD and it’s very heartbreaking because people treat those with it as manipulators or abusers when in the end, we just want to be loved the right way

I hate it when people confuse Borderline Personality Disorder(BPD) with Bipolar Disorder(BD) they are similar. I will be referring to them the way I abbreviated previously. I have BPD and there are key differences between both. Sometimes they overlap but usually with BD there are manic episodes with depressive mood swings and people in a persons life who has BD aren't as consistently seen in black and white changing perspectives in the person with this disorders' mind. However, with BPD, the mood changes are more spontaneous in a combustive way than in BD. They are based more on emotion and mood swings of BD are more randomized rather than caused by strong feelings like that. Relationships are hard to maintain and in the majority of cases (Unlike BD) the person with said afflicted disorder is more likely to have more struggles maintaining relationships. Both have issues with how to handle their overwhelming emotions. Another nuance of BPD and BD is that in BPD, people are more likely to self harm due to wanting their indescribable and immense emotions to reflect on the outside, what they feel on the inside. In BD this is less likely to be true and there are other motives like mania and depression, lack of support, etc. Lack of support is unhelpful in any kind of mental health situation, though, to be fair. In BPD the way somebody perceives people is usually very skeptical and they are seen almost as an evil, or the complete opposite, somebody who can do no wrong. The reasoning for why people with BPD is VERY likely to stem as a symptom and branching condition from abandonment issues or unstable relationships. Something that BD does not have as a stemming trait. With BPD the sense of self and identity are distorted more than in BD. Obviously I can't speak as much on Bipolar as I can Borderline, because, there are multiple types of it and I do not have them. But these are some traits and differences for anybody wanting to know more or be less confused about some of the more nuanced stuff. As well as shed some light on a few obvious differences.

I have always loved when I was younger, and I was listening to this the other day then I thought this song describes bpd well. Glad to know I'm pretty good at interpreting lol. (I never really look into meanings of songs)

i been dealing with BPD my entire life, and this song explained it so well.

Its supposed to be interpreted as any disorder, and as someone with ADHD jeez this is scarily accurate.

I have BPD and well. I came to this video after blowing up and scream-crying at someone I really care about.. this sucks man it really does. Almost every day I wish that I wouldn't react like this

yeah this song is rlly relatable, although i cant for the life of me figure out why. ik somethings wrong with me but nobody will tell me so im js stuck with vague symptoms that all overlap to the point where i cant determine whats going on lol, banger song tho i can see why its the most viewed english vocaloid song on yt

Really recommend you try react to some 傘村トータ(Kasamura Tota)'s songs, the lyrics of her songs are really really well written and it do hits you. I recommend you can starting from 贖罪(Shokuzai) which means Atonement. Hope you listen to it with lyrics on too. The 明けない夜のリリィ(Ake Nai Yoru no Lily) series also really well done, which includes 3 songs: あなたの夜が明けるまで (Anata No Yoru Ga Akeru Made) (Until Your Night Dawns) 明けない夜のリリィ(Ake Nai Yoru no Lily) (Lily of a Night With No Dawn) おはよう、僕の歌姫 (Ohayou, Boku No Uta Hime) (Good Morning, My Diva) 僕が夢を捨てて大人になるまで(Boku ga Yume o Sutete Otona ni Naru made) ( Until I throw away my dreams and become an adult) is also a really really good song Sorry for throwing a wall of text all of a sudden but really hope you can react to at least one of them. I believe you would never regret it. Not only the lyrics, the music even the sound of the Vocaloids are also so so well done.

Love the video and amazing analysis! I've been a long time fan - ever since you reacted Aishite - and I'm so happy and proud of how far you've come! 💗 I definitely recommend reacting to Non-Breathe Oblige and Godish by PinocchioP, Heat Abnormal by Iyowa, I Want To Be Cremated by Abuse (same producer who did dogdog) and Shoujo Rei by MikitoP. YY by 23.exe, The Bubble Future by Negi Shower P, if you just want good vibes!

I used to relate to ECHO and AGAIN but for some reason I stopped socializing and caring about people and now I don't feel like dying whenever someone ghosts me on social media. The mood swings are still here and I'm mostly splitting on myself lmfao

For me with bpd almost everything is black or white, good or bad, there is no in between. I can barely remember 2 years ago because of the constant amounts of episodes to the point I can barely remember my sophomore year and the things I did in those episodes made me lose 90% of my friendships. I have 3 core friends and they somehow put up with me
